Advice on pumping

Hello all........I need advice from you guys. I went to the doc for my six week post op check up and he was supposed to activate the pump for the first time. After surgery, he pumped it a couple of times to aid in the healing, so I have had a little firmness for all this time. I was really looking forward to seeing the little guy all pumped up however.
Here's the deal.....for the past ten days, I have been trying to do it myself, but just CANNOT DEPRESS the pump ball. I have tried one hand, two hand, etc, and it just won't go down to activate the device. So, I couldn't wait to see the doc so he could show me how.
Well, the doc looked and said everything looked great, etc......he felt the pump and found the release valve, and actually depressed it and I felt the liquid going from one spot to another. Felt kind of neat. However, when he went to depress the ball to pump the device up, he had a bit of my real ball in his hand and it hurt and I went OUCH. He then said that it's still healing and I need to give it a little more time. I was too embarrassed to tell him that he had my ball in his hand, so I left.
I don't see him again for several weeks.......he told me to go home and use it all I want.

However, I CAN'T PUMP IT UP and I need any tips or advice that you can give me. What am I doing wrong? That little ball just WILL NOT DEPRESS. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.

UPDATE.....I THINK I may have depressed the button this morning....at least I THINK I did. I didn't feel liquid going anywhere, but the little guy is a little harder.....but now the whole area of the scrotum hurts from me pressing, prodding. Please tell me that it gets easier.....

I activated the LGX700 this past Tuesday at the 5 week mark. The first time I thought same thing, that the bulb was too hard to pump on that first squeeze. Now I know that the first time you need to squeeze firmly enough to cancel the airlock in the system. I can actully hear/feel a "pop" in the device as I break the airlock. Then pumping is much easier. When I deflate, I can actually hear the fluid draining back.

I use the two-hadn method for now wiht my left hand I hold the deflate block and with my right I squeeze the bulb.

You'll definitely feel the "pop" as you break that airlock.

See my suggestion for the "first squeeze" posted yesterday. I've been discouraged at how hard it's been to get that first, hard squeeze of the bulb, but I think I'm making some progress. It's taken more than six weeks for the tenderness to subside enough to really feel comfortable squeezing as hard as I can. Don't give up.

Dudes chill out I dont understand why it takes weeks to do your first pump. I started working mine just two weeks after surgery. I went to the Dr and he showed and coaxed how to do it. First take your dominent hand and find the bulb. Play with it and make sure you have what it looks like in your mind. Thats it roll it around until you can feel it just fine in your sack. Now take the thumb and first finger of your dominent hand and but the bulb between them. Now place the other hands thumb and first finger on top of your other fingers touching the bulb. Firmly with all 4 fingers squeeze. Oh Doc I cant do it...oh..Oh...hey I actually made it go in. This will be your reaction. Now relax and try for another pump and see how far you can squeez it this time. Ready now....squeeze...all 4 fingers...thats it ..see the bulb went in a little further. Keep this up and when you actually see your little buddy start to rise and if you can stand it go on and give it another pump. Ah there it is. Now you want to let it down so move your two fingers on your doninate hand up a bit until you find the release button. It feels like a little button because that is what it is. With one finger on the back side of button push the button and you will feel it open and maybe even hear it as I can. After it drains out grab the bulb again with all 4 fingers and pump it back to your at rest position. Do this twice a day and pump it up till it hurts and just let it stay that way for as long as you can stand it. Let it down put it back to rest position and do it again later in the day or before bed. A good time for me was in the shower makes the bag skinn nice and soft or sitting in hot tub water. Each day stressing on trying to make it just one more pump to victory. It took me about 2 weeks to get it all the way up and keep it there with out much pain. Soon you will not feel any pain at all...Yay...well done you are now with Drs permission to have some gloroius sex.
I hope this help you guys just learning. Believe me I went through the very same thing of wondering and actual fear if I would ever be able to make the darn thing work. Hang in there and do it like I said and in no time you will be experts at pumping it up. One year our from surgery and I still use all 4 fingers.

Many of our docs don't recommend pumping at all for 6 weeks or longer. A lot depends too, on each individual. I had a fast recovery compared to most here, but even pumping at 6 weeks was painful. Everyone is different.

MadMax - I was still swollen up like a gourd at two weeks post-op and there was no way I was going to try pumping anything. My Doc had me coming back at two weeks and five weeks for check-ups and I followed his directions. I started pumping at 5 weeks. Call me old fashioned.

My apologies gentlemen seems most men here are older and perhaps not in as good a shape as I am. I have a strong thresh hold on pain and I went after getting it done and pushed through the pain. I am in good health where a lot of gentlemen are getting over prostate cancer and other issues. I was just trying to be a like a drill sgt in the marines to motivate you to get your self into the better life of using your inplant. So hang in there and do what is right for you. But you can still learn fron what I said on how to pump when the time comes for you. God bless you all...................................MadMax
