Restoring your man parts so that they function as designed is absolutely a good thing. Don't second guess your decision.

You hang tough radiodec, first and foremost this is something you are doing for yourself, to make you feel good about yourself. Hoping everything goes well for you.
When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become President; I now believe it.
Re: The Journey - Stage One
Well, things are a little better now. My wife has decided that she was being a bit paranoid and unreasonable. I think when the urologist decided that I would need two weeks off from work where I was only looking to get one, told her that I was working hard at making things work well for both of us.
My original amount of time off was being dictated by my amount of vacation, but I found a provision in my benefits package that would give me recovery time without using vacation. This didd however put my urologist in charge of things and he said two weeks. I think that impressed her.
Anyway, it is now back to just the second time to surgery in a month's time kind of jitters. I will survive and HARDLY think this was a speed bump. Less than two days now.

Keep moving ahead Radiodec. You won't regret it and don't second guess yourself. Life is about choices and decisiveness. You made your choice and are moving forward. You'll be happy in the end.
Good luck with the surgery and here's to a speedy recovery.

Radio, I am no psychologist, but I am guessing that she is of two minds, at least, about the implant. She propably finds the topic embarssing but hates to admit that she might like it. You are probably psyching yourself up for this, because if you didn't it would be hard to go thought with it, so she might be thinking she is getting signals that you going be totally focused on the implant and using it way more than she wants. If she was comfortable or at least ok with your sexlife years back when you were functioning normally, then why not now? I hope you press on and finish this and after a short while things will be ok. I can imagine that we all have second thoughts so why should she be any different? I hope in your next post you will be in pain from the surgery! Well let's hope only a little!!
age 74 married, Robotic RP Dec.2009. Implanted Jan 2011 with AMS 700LGX and AMS 800 AUS. (AMS 1500). IPP failed March 2018 , leak. Planning an AUS revision (total replacement) in 2018, now I need the IPP too.

Counting down now! Less than 29 hours til the surgeru itself. Less than 27 till I have to be at the hospital. Feelings, well, with wording changes Hamlet covers it but the answer is go forit. Transitioning to "damn the torpedos and full speed ahead" mode.
Man, I will be glad when this is over. Wife is actually of three minds on sex. What she thinks, what her body tells her is fun, and what some prudes beat into her when she was growing up. Her thoughts and feelings are winning.

Radio,
She is not alone--and therefore you not alone--in this ongoing struggle.

Thanks for the nice reply. Marcy is winning the battle with her mind and I am fairly sure all will turn out OK. I also think that she is more than a little worried about me. She is one that hurts more than I do when I get hurt. When they start an IV on me, she nearly passes out! Definitely a keeper.
There will be a few rough times to go with the hard times I am sure, but I know it will all work out well for both of us.
