One year since surgery, thought I would get back on to post how things are going
First, size issues,as that seems to be the overwhelming concern for many: Length before, just under 6" erect, length after, just over 6", not sure why, because I have the CX, but it has been very consistent now....Girth, 5.5 before surgery, 5.25 after surgery, so a bit of loss, this I think is off set by the increased width (see narrative)
Pain...none
Frequency....The "new toy" factor has worn off a bit, we were using it 3-4 times per week early on, now down to about 2x/week
Problems....none yet, I have noticed the right tip seems to be a little closer to the surface of the head than before, so I will watch this carefully
Sensation....definately has decreased, but I am 60 and it was already decreasing before surgery so can't say for sure how much is surgery related
Orgasm.....very different no question, very hard to cum sometimes, can't at all other times, one benefit is that when I do, they are tremendous whole body experiences, not like when I was younger, so a trade off I think
Would I do it again?.......in a heart beat!!!
Partner satisfaction.....see below
Narrative.... overall, a fantastic experience. I am enjoying sex tons more than ever before. It is hard sometimes to even think back to the anxiety about erection issues and how that was ruining sex for both of us. My wife had some issues in the begining. The "oval" shape was strange for her initially. The hardness was actually uncomfortable at times for her. In the past year all that has changed. She absolutely LOVES the hardness, though we have to be careful sometimes, she is having the most intense, most consistent, and most frequent orgasms of our 40 years together. As a side note, some have commented here that they have had sex with women who were unaware they have a prosthesis, her opinion is BS, any woman with sexual experience would know the difference.
Now about the girth issue, as I said the circumference did diminish slightly, however the width increased, giving it the somewhat oval shape. This took awhile for my wife to get used to, but she is really, really enjoying it now.
So, as you can see, if you read other follow up post, individual experiences will vary. For us, absolutely no reservations, best thing I ever did. It is not perfect by any means, but compared to the alternative, thrilled to be alive in an age where such things are possible, cheers, Bill.
