Hello guys im considering implant in future, been reading this forum for a while and i have to say i have learned a lot ,you guys are great.Had a injury during sex 3 years ago and since then have troubles with achieving and maintaing erection.Im young and like everyone very afraid to take this big step but i dont want to take pills and needles whole my life for sex.I read everything about issuse that comes with implant and im ok with them but still have some concerns.
My main concern is glans of penis.Even though i have problems with my erections ,glans of penis works very well and i want to keep it that way.So IF you had GOOD glans before implant can you please tell me what is condition of your glans after implant(engorgement, size)? This really bothers me so guys please help share your experience(the more the better)Sorry for not soo good english im from east europe so english isnt my first language.

Hey euguy98,
I can relate to how you are feeling, this is something I was concerned about prior to getting my implant as well—whether my glans would still engorge. My Doctor assured me that if my glans engorgement was good prior to implant surgery, glans engorgement would still be good afterwards, and he was right.
Initially after surgery, for like the first 10 days or so—when my penis was still pretty darn sore—my glans would not engorge well, even when I was aroused. At first this worried me, I was scared something had gone wrong and I'd lost my glans engorgement ability. But once my penis really healed my glans engorgement came back as good as ever. Now when I'm aroused my glans fill up like they always used to, and if I inflate my implant I have a very full-looking erection.
I understand you are concerned, but I think my Doctor was right, and that as long as it's done correctly, implant surgery shouldn't ever cause glans to stop engorging. I was fine after surgery and recovery, and I think as long as you choose an experienced surgeon, you will be too.

I’m at over a year post implant and I had ED for over 20 years, used pills for a lot then injections finally implant. My glans had always got firm and bigger and would often be the beginning of great sex this was even pre-pill.
To answer your question the same is still true my through stimulation, mental, hand, or oral my glans gets bigger and so does my shaft. The part that the implant replaces is just part of the whole erection.
I have noticed that if I pump up to max before this stimulation it firms but not like with less pressure.
I would have to say in my case if you have good engorgment pre implant and the surgeon does all he/she can you should still get those feelings, and engorging of those tissues.

I had recently posted this issue on here regarding my glans. I thought it was floppy when in reality it was just a bit soft.
My glans does not get as engorged as it used to BUT through the use of a stretchy rubber cock ring it does. I wrap cock ring around my scrotum. It pulls the shaft down exposing more of my dick and pulls the glans down closer to the tips of the cylinders.
It works great for me.
Best of luck.

1. My glans were 'normal' prior to the implant. After implant (AMS 700 CX), they don't engorge at all! [My 'dr.' mis-positioned the tubes; the right tube extends about 0,5 in (~ 1,25 cm) further than the left tip. Consequently my glans looks somewhat deformed, turning down and to the left.) Sorry to add this to your concern, but it's the truth.
2. Talk to MANY different doctors, and choose the best one possible, if you have a choice.
That's the single best thing you can do to have the best chance of a successful outcome.
3. Also, just a suggestion, but include your 'specific' concern in your thread title. I just happened to open and read it, otherwise I couldn't have guessed what you post was going to be about.
Good luck!

Is it just better with a cock ring or is it impossible or bad without a cock ring?
As a single i don't wanna use a cockring the more if i have implant and already a bit unsecure about that. Thanx.

No, I don't need the cock ring at all. BUT all around it works great for me. Just makes my cock look bigger and it feels great.

Glans engorgement for me is unchanged 3 months post op. I even wake up with what feels like nocturnal erections to find out it is simply my engorged glans

Re: Implant-main concern(pls share your experience)
I had my first implant in January this year and after that my glans is not engorging as before. At the beginning is was totally soft but with time it improved a bit. If i hold the base of the penis with my hand (like having a cock ring) AND I'm aroused the glans works very well, exactly like before. Additionally i noticed that I have more engorgement when I stand up or when I'm in the missionary position. Less engorgement when I lay on my back. I just had a revision surgery a couple of days ago because the pump was not working properly and it looks like that with titan (previously I had an ams) glans is hotter and fuller, i hope it can be a good sign. My doctor told me that sometimes titan bigger cylinders compress the urethra better than ams allowing the blood to stay in the corpus spongiosum and so in the glans.
32yo, VL from birth. Implanted in 2020 with AMS CX by Gabriele Antonini. Pump stopped working after three months, replaced with new pump that stopped working again. Complete revision Titan Touch 24+1 implanted by Dr.Eid. Titan failed in October 2023.
