Re: Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
I agree with tomas1...the tips of your cylinders should reach at least halfway into your glans to give added penile stability and avoid the dreaded droopy glans. Perhaps there was a reason your surgeon couldn't get the cylinders all of the way up. I had significant fibrosis in my shaft from several years of bi-mix/tri-mix injections that almost prohibited my surgeon from being able to reach mid-glans. Fortunately, he was able to remove enough fibrosis to get the cylinders even a bit higher than mid-glans.
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

I was implanted by local doctors at kaiser in va. I got a 18cm ams lgx with 3cm RTE. initially i was satisfied but as things have healed ive realized how absurdly small my penis will be. I will be lucky to have 5” with what i am currently looking at, and the tubes are misaligned and do not reach far enough into the head of my penis so my entire head is floppy. I have a post op appointment on jan. 4th. What can i do or say to my current doc so that i can resolve these issues. Any help is greatly appreciated this is absolutely destroying my life and making me hate my implant solely because of the substantial size loss.
I am scheduled for an implant at Kaiser (Mclean) VA on Jan 19th, with Dr. Kai Li. I don't see any reviews for the surgeon, but he looked confident and knowledgeable during my appointment with him.
My surgeon was dr. guarnaccia who was the head of urology at tysons, and the surgeon was assisted by dr. James jezior. I respect both of them but am very dissatisfied with my result. Perhaps i will look into dr. Kai le. Please lmk how your surgery goes.

For your question about your appointment on Jan. 4, I believe members with implant experience may have better idea than I do. However, I would focus on the misalignment of the tubes, which is more concerning than anything else. The floppy head might be due to undersizing. The question which your surgeon may have discussed with you prior to the surgery is why did he chose LGX rather than CX, and ending up with a shorter size?
Are you less than 2 weeks post-op now?

I am about 17 days post op. I do believe i was very undersized with the implant. I plan on asking an array of questions to my doctor and exploring all options i have. I know they even make a 21cm ams lgx so im curious why that couldnt be used
Re: Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
I was asking for LGX on my recent revision 4 weeks ago.
Just before going to OR, he told me that if I hit total of 21cm, he strongly suggested CX. My answer to him was: Whatever is better for me, I agree with your assessment and measurements during surgery.
I ended up with CX 21 cm + 1.5 cm RTE.
Still, I did not started cycling but I am very pleased how it looks and feels.

Re: Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
For my upcoming procedure, and during the consultation I had with my surgeon last month, he recommended Titan, but I stated that I prefer AMS. He said it is my choice. I do not know yet whether it will be LGX or CX.
I read on FT a lot of comparison posts between AMS and Coloplast, and ended up with belief that both are excellent if the procedure is performed adequately. So, I opted not to be bothered by the flaccid state. It may not be the right decision, but so far I do not think there are absolute facts that makes one of the two products way better than the other.

Re: Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
For guys with Peyronie’s Disease and a curve of greater than 30 degrees who are getting an implant, you must remember that your penis must be either modeled (broken to the opposite side of the curve) or degloved for surgical removal of the plaque that’s causing the bend. Peyronie’s Disease robs you of length as it progresses.
Five years ago, I was exactly 7.5” when erect and that was measured with a ruler resting against (not shoved into) my pubic pad. That was around the time my girlfriend, who was an RN, noticed over about a six month period my penis was gradually bending to the left. Over the next two years the bend increased significantly to where my penis looked like an “L” and just the beginning of an erection was extremely painful...intercourse was impossible. My girlfriend moved from the state, my erections were non-existent and my interest in sex waned.
I saw my urologist, told him about the painful erections and he used tri-mix in an effort to get me erect so he could see the extent of my Peyronie’s Disease. Even with a high dose of tri-mix I could barely get hard and had almost a 90 degree left bend. He told me about implant surgery, modeling, surgical removal of plaque, and that I would lose 1.5 to 2” in length due to the PD and damage it had caused to the structure of my shaft. He referred me to Dr. Thompson for the surgery and during our initial consultation she advised me that the AMS CX was the best implant for those of us afflicted with PD. It’s cylinders were rigid and straight, did not expand in girth like the more pliable LGX, and would help me to heal straight after plaque removal and modeling. She also advised that my length when fully erect would be barely 6” however, I would have a perfectly straight penis that would remain erect as long as I desired.
The surgery was completed 14 months ago and although I was humbled by the loss in length, I’m grateful that I can enjoy sex for as long as I want and have pleased several women. None of them had any idea I have an implant...they just thought I was a virile 63 year old man who had a very long lasting erection and knew how to use it to bring them pleasure. By the way, my glans are somewhat soft, but I can still have anal sex with one of the women who enjoys it. The healing process took a full year of inflation to 100% twice a day for as long as I could stand...and the process was also mental, in that you have to accept what happened to your manhood and embrace being bionic. I’ll take my rock hard 5.8” over a limp, bent 7.5” penis anytime!

@TALLMARK; the lost length can't be recovered, right?
I ( 29 M) took Spironolactone 400 mg to treat my hair loss. As a result, the penis shrunk from 6” to 4”. with Severe erectile dysfunction. Looking into the penile implant with Sliding Technique.
