Hey man, You got the best present for 2021.
Thank you so much for all the details and picture. Please keep us update during recover time and when you use it.
Your post gave me the last push to get an implant.
I have been dealing with ED all my life. After tried all medications, injections and therapies. These treatments are not working anymore.
My urologist suggested the Titan implant. I have been doing some research before I do it. my major concern is when my penis is full erect, length is 6.5 inches and 3 inches when it is flaccid, also I am uncut.
Do you think the recovery will be more painful, since your skin has to adjust to the new flaccid size.
Also, Please let us know the size of the implant when you find out.
Please all details, you could provide will be greatly appreciate.
Thank you

Hey man, really happy to hear that, I was hoping sharing might get some people over the hump.

I won’t lie to you, for me the first two weeks of recovery were very painful and challenging. I was basically stuck to my recliner. As long as I was icing my scrotum and in a comfortable position there wasn’t much pain, but any movement, standing or sitting in positions that put pressure on my crotch caused serious pain that made doing most every day things out of the question.

The majority of the severe pain, though, was in the scrotum, not the penis. There is pain and discomfort in the penis as well, but it’s more of a dull aching pain that isn’t as disruptive. I am still experiencing that dull ache today over four weeks later, but it’s much much improved and should continue to get better as the body adjusts to the implant.

My advice is to pick out some books/TV shows/video games/movies etc. and plan on just taking it easy for the first couple of weeks after the surgery. The recovery process definitely sucks at first but a month out from it I am very glad I endured it for the results I’m seeing to this point.

I will keep the post updated with my measurements when I get them from the doctor.

1. Who did the surgery?
2. Why did you undergo the surgery? I mean, obviously is ED, but caused by what? (Peyronies, old age, radical prostatectomy and so on..?)
3. How much time from the surgery until you started recovering your size and penis appearance?
4. Is your new implant uncomfortable while in flaccid state?

Thanks!

1. My procedure was performed by Dr. Joseph Gabrielson in Rochester NY. I had to see two other urologists before being referred to him, he is the only urologist in my network who performs the implant surgery. He has been outstanding; we exhausted other measures prior to deciding to go with the implant, and he was very cautious before agreeing to do it due to my age (I’m 31). Ultimately, though, he agreed that it would be the only option that would give me a mostly permanent solution.

2. I wish I knew why I had such dramatic issues with venous leak, but it’s forever going to be a mystery. From a very young age I realized that I could get but not maintain erections. By the time I was in college I was regularly taking Levitra, viagra and cialis, usually without much success. My surgeon told me that during the procedure when they tried to dilate my penis they had difficulty doing so because the mechanisms in the penis weren’t working appropriately. Eventually they were able to get it to work, but the surgeon told me he found that very validating for both me and himself as evidence I needed the procedure. He told me my issue was most likely the result of a traumatic injury or untreated infection in childhood, but that’s just a guess.

3.I had a ton of swelling in the scrotum and the pubic bone region, more than usual according to my surgeon, and that really didn’t start to look normal until I’d say about the end of the second week. I am still seeing minor improvements every day now, as the swelling in my scrotum has not yet completely abated. That process has made the penis look a lot better and given me back the majority of the length I’d felt was missing following the procedure. The spongiosum engorgement was noticeable once I got the green light to masturbate in the deflated state a little after two weeks following the procedure.

4. This is another one where it’s improved a lot as I’ve recovered. While the vast majority of my acute pain was in the scrotum the first couple of weeks (and man did it hurt a LOT), the penis had an aching sensation that was especially bad in the mornings after sleeping. Ice packs are crucially important for the first few weeks of recovery. I was given Oxycodone and was cycling NSAIDS, and none of them were nearly as effective for pain management as simply sitting in a comfortable recliner and applying ice (and sometimes heat). Now, my penis is definitely still more tender than usual, and sudden impacts to it are very unpleasant, but it’s not nearly as bad as a couple weeks ago where I couldn’t walk for more than about 5 minutes without the aching becoming overwhelming. I am back to doing everything in my normal routine now including long walks with my dog. There are definitely some adjustments you have to make; it’s unusual for me to feel the tip of my penis pressing into the bottom of my boxer briefs when leaning over, but especially with the Titan you’re at or near your full erect length in the flaccid state. Truthfully, though, I kind of like having such a large flaccid appearence; I was always a grower not a shower, now I’m very much a shower.

Thank you really much for all your answers, they're really useful for me! Thanks, please keep us updated!

If you had it done at strong or rgh, the specifics might be posted on mychart or mycare. In mychart, it's under "implant information." good luck to you...looking good!

Great looking dick. Jealous of the foreskin too, don't see many guys in the U.S. who are your age who have theirs, although thankfully the trend these days is fewer and fewer parents do that to their newborns.

Just got the inflation/deflation tutorial. Had no issue pumping it up; the Titan release valve is just as hard to find as advertised, but I’m already getting more familiar with it and can tell I’ll get used to it in no time. I’m definitely seeing more length with the Titan inflated, which is counter to what I’d heard about it. Not a huge difference, but I’d guess it’s about a half inch, I’ll measure later to be sure. Oddly the girth is about the same erect as it was flaccid, hopefully cycling will give me back a bit more size there, but if not I’m not too worried, have plenty.

My doctor really hammered home how important it was for me to get the Titan as a guy with a lot of girth, and I’d really recommend everyone with 5 inches or more do the same. Stories I’ve heard about the Boston Scientific models have not been good in that regard, although they do have other advantages.

The erection looks and feels really good. The glans definitely are not as large as they would normally be in the erect state, but once aroused it’s more than passable. Having a rock hard erection on demand is all I could ask for and I’m really feeling positive about the decision. I’ll upload a couple more pics later on.

Here are a couple pics of it inflated. All in all very happy with how it turned out. The biggest adjustment is getting used to the glans feeling a little looser and looking smaller, although in my case they do still get somewhat engorged when aroused. Already seeing improvements in size from cycling which will just keep improving over time.

I’ll put up some measurements later for the inflated size.

Hey man- how “hard” do you feel? The reason I ask is because your veins and everything don’t look bulging or any of that. In fact none of the images of the implant I’ve seen appear throbbing/bulging. Hopefully the appearance doesn’t do justice to how hard it actually feels on your body
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills

Baseballfan11. The word you're looking for is swollen. It is unrealistic to not expect him to still have some residual swelling. Even if he doen't have any swelling, his dick could easily be normal for him. I never had much in the way of bulging veins. Even during some world class erections.

Hey man - it feels *very* hard if not totally to the girth it was previously. But it’s easily even harder than my hardest erections used to be when I could still get them. I have just started cycling and going too far can be painful so I haven’t pumped it to the absolute max yet I’m sure.

The veins definitely do not swell up as much, some of that is a product of not being aroused, though. The more you’re actually turned on, the better it looks visually imo. Physically it feels really good, the hardness of the cylinders makes things feel way more pleasurable than they did when I couldn’t stay hard.

Sucks you are dealing with this at 23 - my issues started when I was 18 so I’ve been there. Hang in there man.
