24 and considering an implant. Hate injections! Here's my story
Re: 24 and considering an implant. Hate injections! Here's my story
Get an implant, you will love it. I tried the injections Caverject and it just hurt to much, so I went with the implant. I highly recommend it. Young or old they work good or better because you can screw for long periods at a time without worrying that your erection will go down. I have the LGX and it gives me my full length and girth.
age: 75 First implant around 2001, 59 at the time. AMS 700 Ultrex
revision Dec 2016. 2ND implant 21CM, 1rte AMS 700 LGX MS pump

Re: 24 and considering an implant. Hate injections! Here's my story
I started injections at age 29. They were pretty revolutionary at the time (1985). Bimix.
Tried caverject about 10 yrs later. Bad achy dick. So it was onward and upward to Trimix. It actually worked pretty well.
Late 90s. Viagra introduced. Helped, but it was nowhere near as effective as shots.
Early 2000s. I’m in my mid 40s. Shots not working so well. Doc tries shot and pill. That worked ok for roughly 10 yrs although 100 mg Viagra gives me a headache afterwards. Insert your own joke about my wife always having a headache before sex and me always having one after.
2016-2019 the era of our discontent. Shots and pills give me a usable erection, but I had to screw like a madman to keep it. Finally decided game over, it had been a good run. It was time for implant.
I love my implant. In my case, it has allowed me to do things other treatments didn’t. I lost a little size but not much, and even after a year I cycle and feel some stretch and it takes more squeezes to get to the point it won’t squeeze any more. So maybe I’ll get back to where I was. Even if I don’t I’m thrilled with results.
But what I’m trying to stress here, even though I love the implant, is that you can get a lot of good years from injection therapy and they don’t permanently alter your plumbing. If I were you, I would definitely try several years of injections (if they work) before even thinking about an implant.
34 years on injections. No complications. Mostly good results. Side effect from only one drug. Your results may vary but don’t be in a rush to reject a really sound and proven treatment.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

You said you miss your natural dick... what do you mean? What are the differences?
Can't speak for vajim, but having an implanted dick is nothing like having a natural one for me. At least with a Titan, there is no "soft", only deflated. You'll always be nearly your erect length, your penis doesn't easily bend (it more folds, think like a kinked hose), and it may still want to poke straight out when deflated...fully deflated, my penis still looks like I'm semi-erect and points at about 4 o'clock.
Admittedly, at 6 months it's a lot better than it was at first, but I really truly do miss my flaccid dick. What I don't miss is it staying that way in sexual situations. I will be VERY happy if the next generation of implants have a better flaccid experience, since I'm that way 99% of the time anyway.
39yo, ED since sexually active, moderate to severe. Bisexual. Pills helped a little, trimix and muse failed. Implanted 8/25/20 by Dr. Karpman, 22cm+1RTE Titan Touch.
Re: 24 and considering an implant. Hate injections! Here's my story
teddythehost, I am an old, old guy but really enjoyed a lot of sex up till 75 when I had a prostatectomy. I only had ED for 9 months till the implant. This is my story on injections. My first prescription was weak. 8.75 of pge-1,-30-1. My first shot, my doc gave me a 30 unit shot. Dick was like a rock and pain was extreme. Went straight to a drug store and got Sudafed to knock it down. Lasted 4 hrs. Played with the dosage but still very painful. Got some bimix that didn't do anything. Decided to mix the 2 different prescriptions. I would remove 3to4 units of trimix, them draw 25 units of bimix 30-2, for a total of 28 to 29 units. this produced an erection that lasted about 2 hours with a tolerable amount of pain.
The thing about injections compared to an implant is the entire dick gets engorged, glans and all. It still has all the sensation of a regular erection. The glans will be beat red to purple. The implant just erects you dick with no blood flow to the glans. With me it is pale and cold. You seem to have some blood flow so maybe with viagra you will get plump with the erection.
I started getting scaring with less than 40 injections, but some guys use them for years.
Find the podcast, Broken Boner Radio ,with Danial Canfield. Just listened to episode #509 on u-tube. It is 4 years old. I don't know if he currently is still doing the podcasts. #509 is very good. Take time to listen to it. Dan has been through everything you are dealing with. He got me on the road to an implant. Best of luck, whatever your decision is.

I am kinda worried about length. Saw this video of the doctor who might be the one to perform the surgery on me, and he said on the video that your implanted dick will be the size of your stretched dick. Like, grab the glans, and just stretch it to the max. Mine, when stretched, doesn’t seem as big as it can get when I have an erection. Or maybe that’s just my imagination, I really don’t know. I’ll see him again on Feb 9th and already have a huge list of questions.

I see your point, and it makes total sense to me. It’s just that I really think Im missing stuff in life, you know? The thought of never having to carry syringes and alcohol swabs to places I go where I know I might get lucky... wow. Or maybe just the thought that, if I do choose to get an implant, I’ll be able to have stupid and meaningless sex on random places, like bathroom stalls. Maybe that sounds stupid, but there are a couple things we can’t do as guys with ED, right... anyways thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. You guys been giving me a lot to think about these days.

You have a good point here. I thought about that too. I’m not the one with an implant here, but I think I would be willing to “give up” my flaccid dick. But who knows, right? I just always thought one would become a “shower” after getting an implant, but I only saw a couple of videos on the internet where guys show what their dicks look like post-implant. Are there videos here so I can have a better ideia?

I talked to my doctor about that. I really don’t know if that’s how it’s done everywhere, but he says he preserves the cavernous body as much as he can so the pacient can still get a “natural” erection around the implant, therefore his dick still feels warm. As for the glans, I already have problems with mine they don’t engorge as much as the glans of a normal dick (And I have seen some already, and mine is always smaller and less engorged than others). I just get engorged glans when I’m about to cum. As for Viagra, it does make it easier for my glans to engorge, but I still need Bimix for a decent erection.
But anyway, you never ever have fuller glans? I mean, do you still get any “natural” erection? And I’ll surely listen to that podcast. Thanks a lot!

Sadly, I hardly ever get better than stone cold, pale glans. My wife even can feel to cold tool entering her. I call it a popsicle on a stick. The hack surgeon that did my prostatectomy hogged out all my nerves. May I note, he was from a major cancer hospital in Los Angeles ( City of Hope). I have talked to 3 other patients of his. He did the same thing on all of us. Total ED and incontinence. Don't ever assume because a doctor is affiliated with a big hospital that he is good at his trade.
