Wow that really is wild. We are seriously blessed to have Dr Eid for this... God only knows what an inexperienced surgeon would've done with our seemingly more difficult situations. He did not tell me why, though he did mention that I had a lot of scar tissue in the distal end of my penis. I believe my ED was caused by penis enlargement exercises and stretching, so it makes sense that there would be scarring inside.
Seriously can't wait for Sunday to take off the jock strap and start pumping. Definitely gonna need to pop some oxycodone before that... I am also not really looking forward to removing the catheter on Sunday lol. I've never had a catheter before and it is a very odd sensation.[/quote]
I agree...we are definitely blessed to have Dr Eid ! What I did find out which is good news for us is usually the use of RTE on cylinders can negatively effect the rigidity of the erection. Apparently because it's only one side in our case, we won't have this issue.
I'm already having catheter removal nightmares. Smh..going to definitely pain pill prep.
Congrats on your successful procedure my brother!

I was really worried about catheter removal too. It ended up being painless. I used the syringe to pull out all the water in the balloon, and then verrry slowly pulled the tube out. No pain during any of it. The worst part by far related to catheter was the circular patch that they stick on your belly that holds the tubes. Getting that removed was incredibly painful, because they didn’t shave the hair on my stomach. They really shouldn’t be allowed to use those things, they are the absolute worst. I took my catheter out like 10 days ago and I still have adhesive remaining on my skin from that damn thing.

Ochorey and rayhay, I have been icing ever since getting home today because I heard of others icing on this forum, but after going through Dr Eid's post op instructions again just now I realized he doesn't mention icing. Only lying flat on your back and hot baths at day 3. Did Dr Eid tell either of you to ice the area?

Definitely yes. I asked him about icing specifically because I didn’t see much info about it, and he said ya, ice as much as possible for 48-72 hours after surgery. After that, do it if it soothes the pain, but the healing benefits drop off. So that’s what I did, iced all day Saturday, all day Sunday, and Monday morning (excluding sleep of course).

Yes definitely ice as much as possible. The nursing staff actually gave me ice packs to use in the car on the ride home. So I would ice as much as possible. Seems icing over the jock is not the most effective way but not sure if I should attempt under... did you ice Iver the jock Ochorey?

Over. I’m not sure how I would’ve iced under. I just filled the bag with ice, a small amount of water to spread the cold evenly, and put it as close to my balls as I could get. I used a tshirt to keep my inner thighs from getting too cold. Then I put a regular flat pad ice pack over the shaft. Even though there’s all the gauze, etc, you should still be able to feel the temperature drop in the area.

Cath removal is not a problem. Drinks lots of liquids prior to the event. Take a Piss and out it goes. Focus on rest and ice, ice, ice.
congrats.

Very odd... How are you feeling ViaSwiss? I'm getting pretty tired of laying around all the time but can't wait to activate tomorrow on day 3. When is your doc having you activate?
