Yes no problem. I had my first ligation surgery about 5yrs ago. I would estimate it improved my erections by 30% or less for approx a couple of months post surgery before things reverted back to complete ED.

As I was saying previous, I am under a very good urologist who actually did not think a second ligation surgery would work for me. However due to my age etc I pushed for this as a last resort before seriously considering an implant. I had my second ligation surgery 2yrs after my first. I noticed again a slight improvement , however this lasted even less than previous. I would estimate 2 or 3 weeks. After this I knew my only other option was an implant. Would I go through ligation surgery again before an implant if I could go back in time?.... definitely. As I said, and it was the advice I was trying to give, try everything before being sure the only option left available is an implant.

It is not for us all, and I have to admit I would not even discuss or entertain talk of an implant initially. However when you have finally reached a stage where you have tried everything and you are left with a choice of doing nothing or doing something , I chose the something and I can honestly say I am so so happy I did now. Age should never be a barrier.

Best Wishes,
Patrick

From what I understand, in general, this venous repair surgery has a very low success rate, as it has to be re-done every few years often. That's why most urologists in N. America have stopped doing it and have gone more to implant at this stage.

My bad. Could you provide some details on this?

I would personally not consider sclerotherapy as a realistic option.

At least one guy in the sclerotheraphy thread had good effect from the surgery. There are other cases on thundersplace where people had favourable effects from ligation surgery, but
yes, judging it anecdotally it doesn't look promising and depends greatly on how complex the leak is. Could another reason maybe be that the good cases just moves on in life, while the others seek forums to share their disappointments? Not disrespecting the dead, but the user killing himself appeared to have some mental /personal issues before going with the surgery. No doubt the surgeon was probably doing the technic too aggressively, closing off to many veins and thus creating inflow issues but i'm having problems dismissing the studies showing clinically improvements with these kind of surgeries if done right. Maybe i'm just coping?

if there are leaks, the ligatures are useless ... END ....
They only improve the situation a little in the short term.

Nadie123, be carefull confusing a short term improvement for a cure. Even the common suggestions of pills, injections then implant are not truely cures.
The ligation patients that I've read their reports mostly say that any improvement doesn't last long term. Some men worry about implant revisions. Is there a reason they seem to ignore needing more ligation surgeries?
I worked with a guy that had penis surgery. Not sure what was done. I do know that an implant was not involved. He reffered to it as having his penis filleted like a fish. I'm sure that is a bit of an exaggeration but that is how he felt about it. I do know that it was an attempt to restore erections. Didn't produce any erections even using Viagra.
I'd take my chances with a proven implant treatment. Imperfect as it may seem. A very high percentage of men seem satisfied with them. I'm willing to try some of that satisfaction.

I had two venous leaks
I was able to have sex but was lasting less and less. Even with pills. Hated injections. Big mood killer.

Looked at ligation surgery but two urologists told me That surgery is rarely rarely long-term successful. Read the Clinical’s. Also they recommended that penile implant really is the only available cure for Venus leak. I was not on for continued injections or using penile rings.

So I was just all in. To get it done 4/21. I am having some regret but hopefully will all b ok.

Dating and good sex. Hopefully.
