I'm trying to regain size (who isn't?). I've been diligent cycling 2-3 times a day. I've run my number of pumps up...120 on a couple of days. However, when I asked my AMS rep, she replied with this:

"You should never have to pump > 25 -40 pumps with your device. It has a safety mechanism in the valve that once it reaches a certain pressure gradient it will not transfer any more fluid – the pump will still pump, but fluid is not transferring. I have attached some exercising guidelines to this email that might assist you with your device."

It seems I've been pumping blanks (pun intended). This is from an AMS document:

"There are a few exercises that you can do that will assist you in getting back some of your length and girth. By doing these exercises, it will allow the device to act as a tissue expander and will stretch the “tunica”, which is the tissue that the device sits within. The important thing to know about these exercises is that you must do them daily and it is a process that can take time. I tell patients that you can develop length and girth over the next 6 months to 1 year. It is much like going to the gym and lifting weights. It isn’t instantaneous, because you must stretch out and retrain the tissue (like building your muscles). The good news is they are very simple, and if you are faithful in exercising you may notice a difference over the next year.

"1. Pump the device until the bulb becomes hard (in the early days that may only be 3-4 pumps – do not worry about the number). When the bulb becomes hard:
"2. Wait 60 seconds
"3. Then pump 1-2 more times
"4. Wait 60 seconds
"5. Pump 1-2 more times
"6. Leave the device inflated for at least 20 minutes
"7. Perform this exercise 2 times per day

"What you will notice over the next several weeks is that the number of initial pumps will increase. You may experience some pain (stretching or burning) with these exercises. That is good! (Again, like our gym analogy when you begin to lift weights you have sore muscles- the pain is because the tunica is stretching). Patients report that sometimes it is easier to do these exercises in the early days in a shower or bath as it helps soften the tissue."

On an aside and worth repeating from my viewpoint: I really appreciate those of you who take time to post "original" comments. I don't have the patience and, perhaps the brainpower (age takes its toll on a lot of things), to post long comments. I used cut and paste for most of this. Thanks to all of you.

Ken. I am glad to see this analogy of gym work applied to increasing length and girth by exercising and stretching the tunica.

Several years ago on Thundersplace and P E Gym, I used the same analogy for gaining length and girth in penis enlargement exercises. At that time, I gained an inch in length by mostly stretching, and I gained a half inch in girth by clamping and pumping over a six month period of dedicated work much like going to the gym to work out and build muscle on my body.

There is no reason that the advice you gave here from the AMS people should not increase length and girth. Guys who pump with heat after their implants should also gain accordingly.

Thanks for posting this which brought back old memories of my involvement with penis enlargement.

I actually do this with my Titan. But only once a day, unless I am having set too, lol.
Pump up to max, wait 10 min, and pump once or twice (or more) and feel the stretch. Try for another 10 min. or more. I am good until about the 40 min. mark, then it becomes a challenge to hold that pumped up dick because it becomes painful.
Got my girth back, but very slow on the length and its been over a year.

Cycling either AMS or Titan (Coloplast) seems to be really important. As I pump, I don't feel any pain or stretching which seriously concerned me--no stretch, no gains? My AMS rep allayed my fears and basically said, "Cycle, cycle, cycle--the three most important things I could do. I have started leaving it pumped. I can leave it for a couple of hours before I start feeling discomfort. So, I do it morning and evening now. I've changed the scheduling from time to time.

One other thing I've been doing is wearing a jockstrap to hold my dick up. When I started, I could only wear it for 20-30 minutes. Now, it takes a little over an hour before discomfort sets in.

Best wishes for gains!

Thanks for posting that Ken, it explains why I seem to be able to do a large amount of "micro" pumps with my implant. At 6 months post surgery I am still at the stage of pain when pumping for the purposes of cycling the implant.
Cheers Boots.

I am a few days shy of 2months post surgery. No pain when fully inflated. One thing I recently started was to massage the penis, both inflated and non. Will report back when I can determine if massage helps in anyway.
