Reservoir pain

I had surgery August 16th. It’s now been 4 days and had my drain removed today. Didn’t have a catheter. Also received a legacy titan 22cm no rte and 125ml reservoir. I am wondering if others can feel their reservoir on their left side. I know sometimes it’s on the right as well. I can feel the tab / valve that’s at the base of the reservoir. It is very tender and the most painful spot after surgery. I will call tomorrow. Is this normal? I wasn’t able to find anything within this forum.

yep, no worries I thing getting used to the reservoir is one of the worst parts if you are thin. It gets way better w time, and congratulations on your new bionic ness. its been 3 mo for me and I still notice it a bit at the gym.

I'm six months out, and I still have twinges of pain once in a while, especially if I bend a certain way. My reservoir was put in via an incision and It hurt like a bitch following surgery, but it does get progressively better.

Never felt the reservoir, but did feel the path it took from the scrotum.

I’m almost 6 months out, I can feel the tube going from my scrotum up into my body. The occasional pains faded a couple of weeks ago but I can’t fight my fear that the reservoir is going to slide out of where it is. Im overthinking it, im hoping it’s just an irrational fear, but it’s still a concern. I feel the tube then think oh no, just touching this is jostling it loose

Nobody else feels the round tab at the base of the reservoir? I am still at little worried. Also day 5 I also some have more scrotum swelling than I had day one or two. I am guessing that’s normal once the drain was removed. How long before the swelling went down?

Regarding feeling the tab. Are you sure that you received the exact model of reservoir as in the picture?
