Penile Implant & Artificial Sphincter Combo Surgery Advice

Hi Guys,

I am new to this website and forum, but not to ED & incontinence!

Unfortunately I am still dealing with both quality of life issues(ED & incontinence) after my radical prostatectomy about 7 years ago.
I had the advance male sling surgery for my incontinence about 5 years ago, but it is not the mesh is too stretched out to operate correctly.
For my ED, I tried Viagra, vacuum pump, rings, and the injections. The injections did work somewhat, but now I want a permanent solution.

I'd like to hear from anybody who has had both the penile implant & artificial sphincter "installed"
at the same time. Also, if one or the other surgery was done, were the results successful?
I would prefer 1 surgery not 2, if possible.

I would appreciate any advice, thoughts and comments.

Rudy, I see you made it over to this site, hope you get more info here since I was the only one at Healing well that responded. I am sure, I think, that I am not the only one that had the twofer. However, one thing that might complicate thing is you are going for a threefor since the removal of your sling might be considered as another procedure. I don't know if you looked at Tall Guy's thread on the Pca site but at least he had a sling removed and AUS implanted. You might want to find a surgeon before you do much thinking to see if they will do what you are considering since your sling might remove the option for the dual operation? I noticed Wigs in Tallguys thread had the two operations but they were 6 or7 months apart?
I had my implants done in Houston which is about a 5 hour drive from where I live but they have some great surgeons there making the drive worthwhile for me. Maybe try posting on the Tallguy thread at Healing Well? and the same seach that was sugested for this site?
