Is there any downside as far as damage that is caused by leaving a tiny bit of air in the implant after using? I mean I deflate but don't squeeze it completely to force the last bit of air out. I'm not trying to walk around in gray sweat pants like this, I was just curious if any adverse damage could be caused in such a way?
Using VED daily gently, amazed as I've returned to within 1/8 of an inch of original size. I'm grateful to each and every one of you for getting me through the worst of it.

It's not air, it's a saline solution.
I understand the issue is if the reservior isn't full, flesh can grow around it forcing it to not get full, I think it's called compartmenting or similar. Another issue is that skin sensitivity can be less if it's left inflated.

My mistake, I know it’s not air.

Re: Leaving it pumped 10%
I, and this is just my thoughts, don't think there would be a problem. When you deflate completely and squeeze all or as much fluid out, after a few minutes you get a sort of auto refill. So there will be some fluid in the tubes. So i really doubt that a pump or two will hurt anything. I know my own implant will auto refill when left to itself enough to give a nice full but not erect look.

I find it starts hurting around the dog ears if I fully deflate. Keeping 1-2 pumps in it relieves the pain.

Re: Leaving it pumped 10%
My doctor recommended that I pump once after fully deflating. That makes pumping easier the next time I inflate.

Re: Leaving it pumped 10%
Neither my surgeon nor PA who actually conducted the 6-week post-op 'training' recommended anything. That lack of concern or interest tracked overall approach to any details of my procedure from the Virginia Urology staff. I took it upon myself to do what worked best for me. It takes approximately 20 pumps or so to fully inflate using the 75 cc reservoir I have. When I deflate, I stop after my penis droops to point down and then stop. To date, 3 years ago to the day of my procedure, I have had no ill effects.
