Will VED still create an erection if an implant is removed?

Postby NegativeEntropy » Tue Jan 25, 2022 4:27 pm

I know natural erections aren't possible after an implant because the tissue is destroyed. This lead me to a question about if a vacuum pump would still work on a penis if the implant is ever removed (due to infection, pain, failed equipment, etc).

Yes, it is possible but don't count on it as a rule. I read recently here someone having his erections back taking 100mg viagra while waiting for revision. I even found an anedoctic report in a sex medicine journal of a men being able to have anal sex after removal but I guess it's one out of ten million - and perhaps he didn't need an ipp if he could perform some form of anal after removal..
So yes exceptions are allowed.. but it's a one way trip.

I doubt a vacuum pump would get you an erection if your implant was removed. It may stretch your penis out some, but the parts that cause a natural erection are all gone.

With a good surgeon the material is not destroyed. The erectile material is like sausage meat in your tunica. The erection material is moved over and implant tubes squeezed in along side it. My surgeon has had guys like me that had nerves badly damaged during a prostatectomy, have the nerves return after ipp several years later and get erections. With the IPP for back up they have won the lottery.
Dr Boyd has been doing IPPs for over 30 years and as the professor at Usc/keck, has had many students under his supervision. He claimed that USC/Keck does more IPPs than all the surgeons on the east coast combined. He may be bragging but right now has 5 surgeons at Keck doing IPPs, with Dr Loh Doyle specializing in it doing over 250 a year.
82, good health, RP 7-2017, all nerves taken , PSA 0.05, 4-18,, .07 1/19,.05 4/19, .03 11-21, .04 11-23, implanted 4-1-18, Infra-pubic, AMS lgx 15 cm with 5cm rte. Implant at USC Keck. Dr Boyd and Dr Loh Doyle 6.5 x 5, 800 AUS 7-21-20
