Airline Pilots

Postby riseagain » Sat Mar 12, 2022 4:33 am

Just wondering if any pilots have done the implant. If so, any problems with sitting for long periods of time, wearing the seat belts, etc.

Gives new meaning to the mile high club. Although I can’t answer your question an airline pilot with an implant is going to have lots of opportunities to test it out. One of my FWB arrangements is with a career flight attendant. The amount of casual sex that pilots and flight attendants get is stunning.

cant say about pilots, but I've made many trips from Ky to Fl and back, both flying and driving. Driving is a 13 to 15 he trip and I've had no issues at all with my implant sitting that amount of time. maybe right after the operation there could be some issues as in discomfort.

I'm retired airline, but still fly a small plane a bit. Non issue.
I'd think that some of those 16 hour trips to hong kong or Sydney could be a stretch. However, you'll have an augmented crew and get a 7 hour break. The big issue would be those times when you just gotta pee. That was a hassle when I was flying the jets. When you have to wait for a FA to get to the cockpit to "relieve you" could be time consuming.... Not sure how well a pee bottle would work. (but I use one in the small planes).

Old Rover,

I fly mostly domestic, Rember how seat belts in the cockpit would be so tight. I just worry that it will put so much pressure on my implant and that might cause the pump to inflate. Also, I have to constantly adjust my balls while flying.

I'm sure I will get used to it.

I fly 737s.
At first, like the first month and a half, you’ll find it difficult to conceal it in your uniform pants. I use compression shorts. Also at first, there’s a lot of swelling in your balls so sometimes your pump with push upward and get a little uncomfortable. Just fidget around and get it to “flop” forward so you aren’t sitting on it and that’ll be better. Month 2.5 suddenly it gets a lot easier. You can hide it better, there’s less pain and the balls swelling has gone down significantly. I’m good now and it’ll only get better I Assume. Still can get a little achy when wearing compression shorts for a long day but easily controllable. Sometimes just moving things a little helps.
You’ll be fine bro.

How long did you take off from work, I was hoping to use two week of sick time.

I'm not a pilot, but two weeks should be plenty. I was back at my work-from-home desk job the same day, as well as driving, going for long walks, etc. Not sure I would've wanted to fly at that point, either as a passenger or pilot, but after a week it would've been no problem.

And to address the issue debated above, the amount of tail a pilot gets is equal to the amount of tail a pilot wants to get.
