Hey guys,
Wondering if trimix injections have a significant impact on penile implant surgery?
I know there is a risk of scarring and fibrosis, but seems like quite a few guys benefit from injections as an alternative. They currently work well for me (I'm 32)...but the biggest drawbacks are:
- lack of spontaneity (need to carry a needle everywhere)
- in the back of my mind, knowing there is a risk of scarring and fibrosis
- needing to keep the medication cool (there are mini frio ice packs, but again would need to carry it with you)
I'm tempted to keep using them until they stop working, but I'm also worried about their impact on surgery and whether it would complicate things (e.g. higher chance of length loss, challenges in performing the surgery, etc.)
Appreciate any of your thoughts....thanks.

Mainly the scaring. Some have reported the scaring was excessive compared to what was expected in pre surgery doctor visits. Although my left side had fewer than 50 injections that side was so scarred that the 3 students said they took turns working on it and it took over an hour to get through the scar tissue. I know someone will scream no issue. I recall one who got onto me one time he had injected over 1000 times and no issue. That is an exception. Guarantee it. Or a needle/prostglandin/alpha blocker/vasodialator/or implant salesman. Cheers.

Some guys have heard from have used them for 10 years with no problems. With me, I had more sensation, length and girth with injections. I quite them because extreme pain from PGE-1 and pyronies before 30 injections, and I am OLD.

My user name says it all. I took more than 1000 injections over about a 7 year period. Dr. Kramer said that there was very little scar tissue, and the surgery went smooth. You van see it on youtube. It was March 22 2017 and he calls me the Louisville Slugger lol.
Some important things to note: I developed a low risk method of injecting tri-mix. I always used #31 syringes 5/16 long and pushed them in against the skin until I felt them pierce the cavernosa. Many Doc's prescribe much bigger needles. Makes no sense, Even porn star sized men have the cavernosa close to the outside of their penis, and a long or big needle is not necessary.
After my second bout with PC (35 radiation treatments), I got to the point where I was shooting a whole syringe of tri-mix and even that was marginal on performance, hence my decision to go bionic. Had I known how great this is i would have done it sooner, but probably only a year earlier. The shots were great for me in the early years after my PC surgery.
Best of luck to you.

I've use injections for over 12 years before my implant. Over that time the injections did not change my length, 5.5", but did add about an inch to my girth, 6.5+". They caused no problem with my implant but I did, so far, lose that girth, it broad but kinda flat, and about 1/2" shorter in length. I'm 9 weeks out.

This is amazing news. Can you share more about how the injections increased your girth? this seems almost unheard of.

That is common. But it does not last. Stop the injections & it will shrink back to normal. I believe it is some type of temporay reaction to the mix.

Re: Injections - Any impact on implant surgery?
My experience is negative with injections, I had ED for about 12 years and I used Viagra successfully, until about 2 years ago when I had to gradually increase dosage up to a point that 3 Viagra 100, would do nothing to my penis. I then reached a good urologist and she performed a lot of scannings, testing, imageries, ultrasounds, dopplers just to figure out that there was no physical issue in my penis, not even scarring tissue besides my blood circulation being slow and my arterial/venous system getting older and as such not able to get a natural erection. I had no venous leakage either and certainly no peyronie's disease and zero detectable scar tissue. I was prescribed Trimix that worked very well and actually too well that I had to constantly take medications to have my erections terminating, so I switched to Bimix and I had the same issue and eventually over time both Trimix and Bimix effects faded up to the point that they became almost usess even at above 50 units. It only took 6-7 months from one extreme to the other. In the meantime I had planned an implant surgery and when it was time to get the implant my surgeon found a vast amount of fibrosis. He is a top high volume surgeon and he managed to clean the fibrosis to fit the largest implant he could, but a low volume surgeon would have put a much small implant for sure. So while it is true that some, or even most, people are not having long term issues with Trimix, you have to take in account that there is a risk and if you have already planned to get an implant, my advice is not to mess with Trimix and organize your surgery asap.
49yo - ED since I was 35 -Oral therapy stopped working- Trimix/Bimix too strong even at the lowest dosage. Now Bionic thanks to Dr. Clavell since March 9 2022. Titan XL 24 cm, no rear tips, trimmed down to 23.5 cm. Reservoir 110ml.
