Inplants in Italy

Postby Diego83 » Fri Mar 25, 2022 5:40 am

Hello everybody ,

any of you have news or experiences about who are the best surgeons in Italy?
I should undergo surgery the only two I have found are Gabriele Antonini and Diego Pozza.
I read about a guy who had a negative experience with Antonini and another positive one on Pozza no experience ..
I am a bit confused by what I have read on the forums the most important thing is to be operated by the best ... but unfortunately in Italy there are no forums like this with real experiences.

Thanks in advance

I know the guy you're talking about and there Is even another guy, maybe the youngest has ever been implanted in Italy, who had a negative experience with Antonini too in the exact same period of the first one.
If you want to get implanted you have to get abroad and pick out a top-notch surgeon among the best ones.
It is your dick here that Is implicated and the only thing you can do is trying to minimize as much as possible all the surgery-related risks and issues. In order to do so you'd better leave our national borders and get both Antonini and Pozza out of your mind.
Just my perspective as an italian citizen.

I do not remember hearing anything on Dr. Pozza but I am aware of Dr. Antonini and his association with a well know Florida doctor. And I know Dr. Antonini has contributed to published documents on penile implants and looks to be trying to improve treatment with penile implants. Just like with anything else there are no guarantees. You just increase your chances for a good out come with a well known high volume doctor.

Good luck.

it seems that Antonini is the best in Italy but on the forum I had also seen two negative experiences and this worries me.
Is it possible that in Italy there is not a really good surgeon?
Alternatively good surgeons in Europe?

always thanks for your advice

Well.. You're likely to find some negative reviews for any doctor. Because it's a surgery. There isn't a 100% guarantee in this field of medicine. And because he works a lot: the more you perform, the more you'll have some unsatisfied patients sooner or later.
Antonini is reported to have 40-50 implants per year in Italy. He's in touch with Perito and he' s basically 100% infrapubic. It seems he performs also outside Italy sometimes. He's not a novice. He has interesting videos. Personally I dislike his marketing approach. It makes me feel as if he want to sell implant. And it's quite expensive, 28000€ ~ 31000$ out of pocket.

Ralph in London. Could be an alternative I guess. I wouldn't go to a country where I can't understand the language (ex. Germany).

@samuele ti ho scritto in privato

thanks everyone for the information, i am considering some surgeons abroad but i think having a surgeon in your country is better for both communication and any problems. ( I have often read about Dr Ralph in London and Dr Osmonov ...)
Any other advice is welcome

I agree that local care is worth a lot with this. That is provided the local doctor is experienced and does revisions and repairs. And why I recommend doing a local search first and expanding from that. And to ask about revision and repairs and if the doctor does not do them then ask who the doctor sends men to for them. And that would be my next place to go looking for a doctor.

Every doctor has an infection rate and a reoperation rate for not just infection but other causes. Things happen. But it is much easier to get help locally than having to do after care on the phone and returns with long travel. Now one thing to consider would be to check with Dr. Perito and see about having him do the surgery and after care with Dr. Antonini. You still have the additional cost of travel and a long flight shortly after surgery though.

Good luck with your search.
