Need it harder AMS 700

Postby OldRover » Tue Apr 05, 2022 9:49 pm

It's been a bit over 4 months since my AMS 700 implant and took a while to figure things out and get it working. I can pump it up reasonably, but it just doesn't get hard.

I can have intercourse, but hard to get it in and keep it there.

Are there exercises that I need to pay more attention to, or something I need to do? Do they get harder over time?

Hmmmmm.

Are you sure you are pumping the full contents into the resevoirs? Mine is harder than an oak tree and naturally pointed up.
When do you see you surgeon/urologist next? Might be worth asking and inquiring during your own show/tell. YOU PUMP it (not him) to show / demonstrate what you mean.

Have you lost much length or girth? How are you exercising it and how often? If you're a bit smaller and it's not getting very hard, it's my assumption you need to be doing a LOT more exercising.

Do you have a VED?

Here's "THE exercise" that was posted recently: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18843

Pre-op dick size: 8.75" x 5.7"

Current: 9-9.5" x 5.5"

Goal: 10+" x 6+"

As the earlier responses said (I will paraphrase). That's not normal. You should get the implant (and therefore your penis) to an unbendable state.

If your description is referring to softness of the shaft, that is another issue. Spongiosum engorgement. Can you elaborate?

I don't believe I've lost much, when inflated is seems about the right size (as before) however, just too soft. Doesn't have the hardness that's needed.

And I don't know if I'm pumping the full reservoir into the penis.... how do I know.

I do know that it gets awful hard to pump, and then I wait a minute and pump more, but not much improvement.

Call the AMS Patient Liaison. It is part of their job to talk patients through such questions and they are usually more available than the surgeons who install the devices and also often more knowledgeable about figuring out difficulties such as yours and the "workarounds" that resolve them. They have spoken to LOTS of patients from many different surgeons in the course of their jobs.

Once it seems you can't squeeze the bulb anymore, keep squeezing for another minute it so, with little tiny but hard squeezes, as hard as you can possibly squeeze with two hands.

Each subsequent squeeze (I call micro-squeezes) add more rigidity and even eventually a degree of pressure induced pain for me.

I had a similar problem. I just didn't have the strength to squeeze the pump hard enough at end of fill. I developed a solution that continues to work very well for me. See my post

Good luck

Scroll down the posts in the implant section to " Dr Perito MTP 57" nerdynerd put a link to the you tube video. It has to do with breaking the implant tubes loose. I sent you a PM about the same thing. I squeeze the pump between the first joint on my thumb and the second joint of my index finger. I get a lot more pressure than from my finger tips. Mine gets to hard, like a steel spike.

Even little itty-bitty pumps make a big difference. I have arthritis in my hands, especially my thumbs. Some days I can only get 10-15 full pumps. But if I keep doing little pumps I'll get hard as a hell.
