Long time reader on FT. Appreciate all the men who have posted and shared over the years. It has really helped me prepare for this step.
I was implanted 5/12/22 by Dr. Michael Pryor in Spartanburg, South Carolina. We chose the AMS product line due to my long standing diabetes with the goal of reducing infection risk. Ended up implanting an AMS CX 18cm with 1.5cm RTEs, penoscrotal approach. He's left me about 60% inflated for time being, follow up appointment on 5/23 and we'll see where things go from there! I had significant PD...75 degree curvature (dorsal?) going up and to my left. The wife and I could still kinda manage penetrative intercourse with basic TriMix injections, but it was unsatisfactory and extremely limited...not getting any better. Dr. Pryor said he encountered considerable scarring and plaque fibrosis due to the PD (began appearing around 2018) and he felt that the CX model would give me the best outcome possible to reduce the curvature and have a fully functional erection again. At the moment postop day 2, the curvature is down to about 10% and I always had a natural upward and to the left curve so I'm going to be pleased if this remains so. Who knows, as I begin cycling there may be further improvements there, but if not, it is still a huge improvement over what I had been facing without going with the implant.
By the time of my surgery I had been suffering from worsening ED since approximately 2010. I began trying Viagra in 2010...tried all the other oral agents at one point or another with diminishing returns. Graduated to VED and TriMix around 2013. Had diabetes related low T (level of 290 in 2013) and began TRT (t. cypionate injections and weekly anastrozole pill) about the same time, felt great, but the increased strength, mood, and libido only made the ED even more aggravating, ha! I suppose the wife and I learned to live with a kinda shitty sex life for a while there in our 30s, work, child rearing, etc., filled in the gaps. I guess all the covid mess and such the last 2 years put front and center for my wife and I that life is for living to the fullest and we decided not to put off enjoying all the good things that life offers and that got me thinking about finding as close to a "real" solution for my ED and PD that I could. It also didn't hurt any that my wife began HRT about 18 months ago as well, and oh my gentleman, WOW!! Her mood, body composition, and sex drive have been off the charts!! I can't lie, when she can just keep going and going and going, basically insatiable...it's pretty addictive in the best way possible! Best of all, both of our kids were C-sections, so she's as tight and horny at 44 as she was at 17, haha!!
Recovery is going about as expected at this point, like I mentioned it is only POD2. Taking it a day at a time, I know this is a process, but really looking forward to having a usable cock again to match the passion and desire that my wife and I have for each other.
Thanks again to all the other "brothers" who have asked, answered, and shared here over the years!

58, implanted with 22 cm Titan (no RTE's) on April 1, 2022. Complete ED started after High Dose Rate Brachytherapy for prostate cancer. Tried everything else first but nothing worked. Wonderfully supportive wife!

Good luck on your recovery, you two will really enjoy your on-demand dick! You won’t have to worry about your dick while having sex. You can relax and enjoy the ride!
AMS 700 CX 18cm. x 12mm. With 3cm. RTEs. 10/10/18

Thank you for the encouragement!
@FreddyFree
I see you have the AMS CX as well. I was wondering if aggressive cycling of the CX is as beneficial as what it seems like guys recommend for the LGX and Titan cylinders?
Even now POD3 at 60% my CX is dang firm and I at least “feel” the tissues being stretched out a bit. Probably a lot of it is just mental, ha, time will tell!

How frequently did you inject during those years, or alternatively how many times in total?
Re: Joined the Bionic Brotherhood 5/12/22!
@TwoStep
I didn’t keep exact data, but at most I believe probably around 20 times a year with the TriMix injections on average.
I injected more frequently from 2013-2018, but by then the PD curvature and pain with the injections became frustrating…although the wife and I did one final TriMix send off 4 days before my surgery, ha!
Side note…I work as an RN in acute care hospital settings. I’ve been injecting insulin for over 20 years and testosterone injections for 9 years now. Not to toot my own horn, but between patient care and self injections of various kinds my injection protocol and technique is clinically flawless. I didn’t develop the PD due to poor technique, site rotation, etc. The best guess my urologist suggested is that even with great technique and site rotation, over time it is nearly impossible to avoid some scarring and damage to the tunica. Also, it seems possible that some men may be disposed to fibrosis and developing PD due to one of the particular ingredients in the TriMix (can’t recall at the moment which one).
I hadn’t discovered FT until about a year ago, but if I could time travel, once the oral meds stopped working I would have never ****ed around with the injections and just gone straight to the implant! For my situation the shots cost me time, @ 1-1.5 inches of length and 0.5 of girth due to the PD curvature and severe scarring and I still ended up getting implanted anyway, ha!
Post op day 12…swelling is almost totally resolved. No pain to speak of, incision site looks good. Followed up with my surgeon on 5/23…we felt like I would benefit from staying about 60% inflated for 2 more weeks and then come back and see about starting cycling…and maybe field testing!? Ha!
Oh yeah…postop day 12 measurements are 5.1 inches length (still about 10 degree curve, but that’s okay) and total circumference measured at mid shaft is right at 5.0 inches. The wife isn’t all that concerned about the lost length and seems pleased that the girth is pretty close to my original. And sensations around the glans and frenulum are fully intact…although some numbness/lack of sensitivity around mid shaft where the skin is thinner and I can really feel the rigidity of the cylinders. I do still get nice glans engorgement when aroused.
Hope that helps, shalom!
