meds vs implant
meds vs implant
here is my question to all who might know,,,, should I get an implant if the injections and levitra still work but I am sooo tired of the meds and after effects and the having to plane when we have sex that is a real problem,,, thanks
I am 48 years old have had ED since I was 16, I can get an erection but I can not maintain it, tried pills I dont like the side effects, tried Trimix it has been hit and miss, I think I should get an implant.
Re: meds vs implant
My situation is a bit different from yours, but my thought process was this:
I had pretty much given up on meds because to me the side effects--headache, stopped-up nose, etc.--were just not worth it. With trimix I could achieve an erection, but only barely sufficient for penetration and it was really unsatisfactory most of the time. The last straw came after my annual uro appointment in November. He suggested I try the Cialis for daily use and gave me some free samples. At the same time, he mentioned the possibility of an implant, which I had not really thought about before; I had only been vaguely aware of the one-piece implant which seemed undesirable. Anyway, I tried the Cialis for several days and it gave me a severe headache that simply would not go away. That clinched it! I found FrankTalk and it didn't take long to decide to go ahead with the implant.

Tankerman,
Like you and Gerry I was not at all satisfied with meds, etc. for treamnent of my Post-Prostatectomy ED.
Therefore, I underwent the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure in December 2004.
The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife of 45 years.
We both love my Titan Implant and have enjoyed it fully for the past 5 years and counting.
Tankerman, as it was for Gerry and for me, the final decision is yours and yours alone!!
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or just want to talk.
Best of Luck,
Bob

Re: meds vs implant
The pills and injections are TEMPORARY attempts to achieve a workable/enjoyable erection...the IMPLANT is a PERMANENT SOLUTION.....enough said....DO IT !!!!!
Re: meds vs implant
Hey Tankerman. I got my implant Dec 19th 2012. I took the oral meds for 10 years before they stopped working. I thought long and hard about injections and vacuum. There is nothing like spontaneity and erection on demand. I am eight weeks post op and can't believe how great the implant is. I should have a long post on my experience coming out anytime now. Just wrote it tonight. Just do your research with respect to surgeons if you do decide on the implant. Good luck!!
