What day in your IPP recovery was the worst

Postby ShouldIwait » Tue Jul 12, 2022 10:28 pm

Finally, this morning Titan 22cm implanted penscrotal. Partially inflated.
So far minimal pain? I assume that's because the drugs from the surgery have not worn off?

1. What day in your recovery was the worst pain my FT bionic brothers?

2. How do I keep from rolling over on this kickstand? I imagine that would be very painful

3. When did most take off the gauss wrap?

-Thank you my Bionic Brothers

1) Day three, and even then, it wasn't that horrible. I took no painkillers after then.
2) I'm a side, belly sleeper, and by keeping my dick pointed up in the jock strap, there was no pain while asleep.
3) The gauze came off, and I pulled the catheter out the day after surgery.

For me it was day 5. I had just tried to wear underwear to sleep. Woke up and found them red in blood. Not painful but made me panic. I was partially inflated. Jumped in the hot shower and very painfully deflated. Took 20 minutes because of penoscrotal surgery swelling. The doc said it was delayed catheter injury.

1. What day in your recovery was the worst pain my FT bionic brothers? The first week. I never had extreme pain. I did circumcision too with implant so the pain was bit more( but max was like 4-5).. I only too Narcos the first day and survived with tylenol ( maybe used it few days the following 2 weeks whenever I felt pain).. But mostly easy recovery

2. How do I keep from rolling over on this kickstand? I imagine that would be very painful  - It will be.. I had infrapubic so I didnt have too much issues in rolling to the side. I couldnt fully roll to the side but partial rolling was manageable. I couldnt sleep with anything on. Even now sometimes sleeping with something is uncomfortable..

3. When did most take off the gauss wrap? Not sure if you are referring to wrap for stiches or the glans. Glan wrap is removed day 2. But my stitches gel was so strong it didnt fall out automatically( supposed to in week 3/4). My doctor was like why you didnt take it out I was like I dunno.. I didnt know I was supposed to do it. So he started scrapping it off and asked me to remove rest in shower the following day.

The first couple of days all I did was sleep. Bandages were off the morning after when I removed the catheter and drain bag. By day 3 I was on my own and did little that week, hurting with every move but still able to walk out to the backyard a couple times a day. The pain meds doc issued did squat, got Percocet for one week.
On day 9 the pain meds put me in the ER with heart attack symptoms. So, I got to say for me, day 9 was the worst. Although it wasn't due to my implant.
However, the nurse who dropped the BP cuff on my lap that day nearly started another issue.

I was implanted infrapubic and never really had much pain. The worst was the resivor that was placed just under my skin since I had double hernia repair with mesh 15 years prior. I took one pain pill the first nite anticipating a rough nite that never happened. Sleep good and woke with little pain. Took wrapping off penis on third day and rode home 5 hours in the car with wife driving on same day. Took a pain pill thinking the trip would be bad…. But it wasn’t. Never used anything but Tylenol a few times after that. Since my Dr was out of town he left sutures and drain in a week! The drain was very bothersome but did keep the swelling down to almost nothing the whole first week. My Dr didn’t use a catheter so didn’t have that to deal with at all. I did do a lot of icing the first full week which I contributed to the nonexistent swelling. After a few weeks the only issues were a little bit of soreness in the resivor area and maybe a little swelling along the incision line but very little.

I was implanted 16 days ago. Spent 1 night in hospital. Fully inflated with catheter. No drain or bandages. Released as soon as I could pee, empty bladder, after catheter was removed. Implant totally deflated. Some discomfort day 1-3. Got by with tylenol. Showered on day 3. Drove 4 hours to my home on day 4 with no problems. Day 6 through 10 were my most painful. Burning sensation in my scrotum when standing. Made it with tylenol. No pain as long as I was in my recliner. I'm sure the boys were fighting with the pump. Day 11 till present no pain. I am able to walk 3 miles now.
Return the 29th for activation of device.
Implanted at the Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem NC by Dr. Terlecki.

I'm 72 years old. I'm in decent shape. I'm a walker and swimmer. I had prostate cancer surgery this past August.
Good luck sir. The pain will pass and you will be happy.
