Sorry that I haven't been on in awhile, been just so busy at work and at home. But mainly with you know who. Yesterday was week nine since my surgery and I have to tell you, I have been using the heck out of it since week 5, almost daily. You would think we were in our twenties again. I always loved morning sex when we were younger but that kind of went away as we got older and completely went away after my RP. Well guess what, "It's Back!" Other than the beginning when I was trying to get my insurance company to pay for the surgery, this has been the easiest and most satisfying surgery I have ever had. I am so grateful to everyone on here that gave me support, and to my Doc who did an awesome job, and mostly to God above who blessed me with the ability to get it done, have it heal so great and for a wife that has stood by me through it all, from the bad to now the good. We are both so grateful and stoked and wearing it out, or trying to. :)

That is great news! I wanted to update you and all the guys, here, that I am experiencing similar results at almost exactly the same 9-week post-op point as you (March 5 implant date).

At first, I had to get the hang of things and did not climax during intercourse the first couple of times after first using it. That really sent the panic meter into the red zone. But, as my sensation returned during weeks 7 and 8, wow, what a huge relief, and what a joy to get back that part of my life that my wife and I had lost.

So happy for you, and for all the guys on here who are enjoying their implants. It is a real tough mental and emotional journey, sometimes, and takes a LOT of mental stamina and perseverence, but given the options, I am so pleased with the results and outcome.

Take care.

Hi Ronde, I was off exactly 4 weeks, only because I took the week of the surgery off as vacation. I was off for three weeks after the surgery. I thought I felt good enough to go back after 2 weeks, but since I already had the time approved I took the full 3 weeks. When I did go back, I was glad I stayed out the full 3 weeks, because sitting at my desk all day in one position agravated the boys a little. Nothing too bad, but enough to let me know I had made the correct decision to stay out the time I did. Everyone heals differently, but you don't want to rush it. Your best chance at a successful recovery is taking it easy and not rushing it. Let your body tell you when you are ready.

My wife told her friends I was having "old man's surgery".

I told a few people before hand I was having hernia surgery. Stopped that when lots of people then told me about their hernia surgery and I thought I wouldn't have enough proper experience to compare notes. Then just told people I had "minor fixit surgery" after the fact. No one ever asked for details, as I think the way I said it implied I wasn't volunteering anything more and they just didn't want to invade my privacy. Its a much bigger deal for you than for everyone else (except maybe your wife or SO if you have one), and you really can get away with being vague. Whatever anyone guesses, if they do, they're not likely to guess implant surgery, if they've even heard of it.

I actually told quite a few people, because I'm not embarassed at all. Actually I'm pretty proud of it. Those I did not want to tell I just told I was having some corrective surgery related to my RP 3 years ago. The guys I told were actually impressed that I can get it up when i want for as long as I want. They were like. "damn, must be nice."

So here is my 4 month update, everything is perfect. I have been using it since week five, with my wife at least 3 - 4 times a week, and after 35 years of marriage, that is saying alot. She enjoys it, and I enjoy it. There has been NO pain, since I started with it in week five. I pump it up as far as it will go every morning before I get in the shower, and at least 2 of those sex times is when I get out of the shower. My wife sees it and just asks, so do you want too? Of course I oblige. :) Anyway, There are a couple of threads talking about, no pain, no gain, and I can't speak for anyone but myself, and maybe I am an exception or something, but I don't have any pain. I never had any pain in the beginning with intercourse, nothing with the glans, nothing. I had about a weeks worth of discomfort right after the surgery, but really that was about it. Again, I 'm not bragging, I just want you to know that apparently not all of them hurt when you pump them up for months and months. I also think we all heal at a different pace, and maybe I was quicker than most. Just hang in there and at some point it will be as natural as it ever was, but better. That's the way I feel, it is better than before. It always gets hard when I want it hard, and it goes away when I want it gone. No performance anxiety. I am better than before my RP three years ago. Look forward to some great times ahead, all of you recent implantees! :)

Gregg - Congrats. Sounds like you had a near perfect experience. I am surprised you had no pain in the glans, that and my reservoir area were the 2 areas that were somewhat tender on me, but well worth the discomfort! Welcome to the BBB!
