25 years old, London. Symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. Severe ED, slight bend/ curvature, soft glands. Urinary frequency.
Had the scariest experience of my life today. I went to see Asif Muneer (Andrologist) for a follow up appointment. I wanted him to see my curvature in-person. He previously said there’s no plaque or scar tissue that he can feel so doubts it’s peyronies/fibrosis. So I asked for caverject injection for him to examine in person.
After the injection he put me in a room and said he’ll be back to check on me in 15 mins. In that time I broke out in a sweat and everything went blurry, I fell to the floor multiple times…. It was bizarre. He came back and I was just pulling myself together. I told him what happened and he didn’t seem too alarmed, to my surprise. He examined me again and the injection had barely any effect whatsoever, and it made my penis narrow towards the tip which had never happened before and it was half the size of any floppy erection I’ve ever had on pills.
I said to him I’m never doing that again and for the first time ( to a urologist) I said, I want an implant, I can’t carry on like this (it’s been 4 years) he said I would lose size but we could look into it. Obviously with a top surgeon, it seems this isn’t the case.
I wouldn’t go with him, I would travel to Clavell or Eid. I am going to book an appointment with both now. I’m apprehensive in case I need the injection again prior to surgery to measure length.
I am concerned about size though. When I get an albeit floppy erection on cialis the length is around 5.5’’ , but I worry with the atrophy/curve I could end up very short. Would a VED help to gain size? Even if I was at 5.5’’ post-implant with a less pronounced curvature I would be content.
Thank you so much for reading.

Have you have seen a video of a penile surgery?
If you went crazy for a doppler ultrasound how would you manage the whole stuff? I think it's barely the minimum a doctor could ask for to avoid malpractice. You're 25 yo.

It wasn’t for a Doppler. Wasn’t me ‘going crazy’ clearly just an abnormal side effect of the injection or an allergic reaction.

Understood. Btw was it caverjet / alprostadil? Yes it could be painful and unpleasant even not that much on average. Maybe a panic attack magnified side effects? Have you ever had a doppler ultrasound performed before to check fibrosis?
I have pelvic floor / prostatitis issues and lack of glans engorgement is depressing but not unsurprising.

Caverject, I suffer from a condition called functional neurological disorder which perhaps played a part in the reaction.
I’ve watched Clavell performing the surgeries and that doesn’t faze me whatsoever. It wasn’t like a ‘panic attack’ reaction to the injection. My uro didn’t seem fazed/influenced by my caverject reaction when I stated my wish for an implant- true, it’s money in his pocket but I doubt he’d entertain it if it was that big a concern.

Gotcha. I suggest also a third part opinion from an urologist / andrologist with no potential conflict of interest. Basically speaking someone who is not a surgeon or has no money to gain in suggesting to you an IPP.
