How should this work ;) hahaha venous leak isnt a vein where the blood flows away. Venous leak is that the spongy tissue from corpora cavernosa will not engorge fully (atrophy, fibroses, peyronie etc) and cause of that the corpora dont get fully engorged and cause of that corpora cavernosa material (like a sponge) cant press up the veins fully to the tunica. So it s not a vein problem, the problem is the corporal material isnt healthy for whatever reason.

Yup, I've looked at that device. Basically an internal cock ring in my opinion. I'd be very leery of how well & safely the exiting blood flow could be surrounded by the constricting ring. I even question the possibility of a good outcome. There is an artificial urine sphincter (aus) to help control urine leakage. Basically the exact same concept but on the urethra. There is at least one FT member with one. Btw, I think he has posted that it isn't that great at stopping urine leakage. Would stopping blood flow be any easier? The AUS still requires a saline reservoir & a pump in the scrotum. Just no inflatable cylinders. So why gamble on a new device? What is the benefits over the 3 piece implants?

there are different genesis of VL, one of them, for example, are varicose veins causing pathologic blood flow based just on mechanical logic and gravitation. Also noticed that there is such a symptom of VL like position related erection but in different people it works differently. I mean for someone it's better to lay down, for others - stand or sit. I wonder if it is connected with a diff genesis
22 y.o. Chronic pelvic pain i guess and VL after COVID. May-Thurner syndrome? Venous insufficiency? idk...

As they say, this device doesn't damage penile tissues or blood vessels, erection is more natural, glans should be also engorged and It looks like reversible procedure unlike the implantation

but this device would not work for me because my corpus cavernosum is damaged by fibrosis and that is what I have to fix

I had already done some research because there were still times when I could still get an erection. I just never knew if I was going to be able to get erect and if I did, for how long. So the first thing that I did when I got back was to contact my urologist. Within a year we were setting up the appointments for the surgery. I didn't heal too well. But that was my fault, I live alone and layed on the couch for 3-4 days before realizing that I hadn't used any ice.

I will tell you now that getting the implant was the best thing that I did. I still get depressed, but my confidence has returned and I definitely feel like a man again. The only problem that I have is the arthritis in my hands but mostly in my thumbs makes it difficult to pump it up at times.

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear.... you felt like a man again!!! Best words ever, thats the reason I let someone cut my dick open and put some plastic cylinders in me! Cause now I feel like a.... I dont know exactly... like a destroyed man or something like that!

Thats the reason for venous leak, I think even the name isnt correct. It s called venoocclusive fault... in other words, your smooth muscles (corp. cav) cant exand as they should and the veins arent completely compressed to the tunica thats it. The bad thing is that with this the night erections are missing --> and the smooth muscles convert more to fibrosis --> worsen the corp. cav. and so on and so on --> and anytime all the stuff (pde5, injections and so on) dont work anymore! Easy isnt it ;)

And some people really think there is a vein which is causing that.... it s not! if you have enough smooth muscles and healthy ones they press fully against the tunica and the veins are compressed and no leakage at all.... a healthy corp. cav. also press up big veins etc. cause the tunice is the wall. Hope now everyone understand better what a so called venous leak is. It s a destroyed (for what ever reason) corp. cav. or better the smooth muscles in there.

The reason can be, destroyed nerves there, lack of testosterone... convert smooth muscles into fibrosis too, general a lack of erections convert the muscles into useless fibrotic material cause of hypoxia. Thats the reason, imagine the penis is a muscle (it contains smooth muscle cells)... Use it or loose it. Thats also the reason why older man often have a shrinked dick and ED, cause they dont used it (cause of less testosterone, no night time erections) and so on.

You are only describing the case when the reason is in the corpora cavernosa. Yes, sometimes it is the only/main problem. But the word "veno-occlusive" speaks by itself that the genesis can be in vein problems. No matter how good your smooth tissues are working, if you have a pathologic vein leakage due to extended (varicose) dorsal vein, weak vein endothelium, vein neogenesis in your pubic area, VL will appear. Actually that's the reason why PDE-5 inhibitors don't work well in this case, because with all good work of corpora cavernosa, vein cannot be provided by enough pressure. When I had a Doppler ultrasound, it showed that my corpora cavernosa are absolutely okay, but VL still exists. Specifically in my case I think that I have a pelvic varicose disorder which also led to varicocele and chronic pain in lower abdomen, scrotum and upper thighs

Yes it will work, it will push blood the the corpus cavernosa and keep it there by restraining it.

I wonder what are they waiting for !? It is battery operated and we don't if they already have the prototype. Do you have any idea?

No! VL can be congenital or veno-occlusive. The smooth muscle cells are replaced with collagen and it can no longer stretch ao it goes back to the normal state. The systolic pressure is not enough to expand the corpus cavernosum and the tunica albuginea. Peyronie's is different, it happens in the Tunica albuginea, not in the corpus cavernosum. Peyronie's is calsifications
