Finally went ahead

So after 2 years of reading all the great helpful posts on FT i finally went ahead with the implant operation and opted for the Titan. I am based in the UK was very fortunate in being able to have the operation under the NHS (National Health Service) for no charge. The doctors and nursing staff at UCLH were fantastic and i was also able to have the top surgeon in the UK Professor Ralph. I was discharged the following day am, pretty sore and had an embarrassing journey travelling out of London on the train in rush hour yesterday trying to conceal the bump.Because of some scarring discovered during the operation I had 2 cylinders of 18 and 19cm fitted to cope with the scarring.I am happy with this and everything looks ok but i want to know how many guys are left fully inflated for 2 weeks adn teh reason you were given. I was deflated some but it still pointing at 3 o'clock. I want to thank "Time2Change" " Brianroa7" " Pau1Pau1" "SquadCaptain74" and Hectorm64 for taking the time to answer my questions. ybird333, Congratulations! Your life is about to change for the best in a whole lot of ways. To reply to your question about being sent home inflated following surgery. With a few exceptions, most doctors send men home inflated to varying degrees ranging from 50% to 70-80%. I came home 70% inflated, and stayed that way, like you for 2 weeks. Yes, functioning with a constant hard on is challenging, but serves a good purpose. By keeping you inflated it helps prevent scar tissue forming in the corpus cavernosum and restricting expansion of the cylinders, which would be painful when you start cycling. I even had to keep my penis pointed up those 2 weeks so that when scar tissue formed in my crus, improving (?) my erection angle. Follow all of your doctors' instructions and you will be fine, and so will your dick! Reach out if I can help in any way.

Congrats on getting it done. If you don’t mind me asking, what diagnosis did you receive to get the referral to Prof Ralph? I’m curious because I’m trying to go through the process at the moment, but I don’t know if there’s something specific I need, e.g. confirmed venous leak.

I just requested from my GP that i be referred to him. In the current climate we are allowed to go to any NHS Trust that has capacity or specialises in a specific area . I waited 6 months from my first appointment to the operation.If you need any more assistance feel free to ask anything.He is the top UK surgeon.cheers

sorry forgot to say i had ED since undergoing Prostate Removal due to cancer.If you have a good GP they will refer you I am sure.

Glad all went well , I was sent. Home deflated.
Maybe your inflated because of your scar tissue.
First 6 weeks are the worst, then everything will click into place and it just becomes part of you.
No baths for 3 weeks just showers and good luck

Congrats on taking the leap. I was left about 60% inflated for 5 1/2 weeks. Doc said he leaves it inflated for 2 weeks to allow skin to stretch. I should have been deflated at 2 weeks, but I was too sore to let him.
When he released me to bathe, a hot bath every morning kept the soreness down. The hot water will loosen things up so you can feel around to find the pump and deflate button.

Thank you Old Guy. Good advice. I am 3 days in now and starting to hurt a but so far not as bad as anticipated. Can believe it will be easy to to deflate in 2 weeks with all the stitches etc.

At 3 days out most say ice bags on the scrotum will ease soreness and swelling. Stitches should be more than ready to come out at 14 days, if they aren't dissolvable type and gone by then. Probably a bit more time after that before bathing is allowed, but ask your doc.
Great to hear you aren't in much pain. I was a mess for weeks.
