Tig Notaro (comedienne who has had a double mastectomy without reconstruction and also has short hair) has, as part of one of her routines, the story of one trip through TSA. Tig made quite a funny segment on her stand-up routine out of it.

The agents were unable to figure out if she was male or female. So, she was eventually patted down by both male and female agents (including the front of her pants) who finally got a supervisor involved. Tig never gave them a clue and they were apparently too embarrassed to ask. Her story of their confusion and consternation is hilarious (Be warned, Notaro's humor is a bit different than most can appreciate)

The point of the story is that you should maintain your sense of humor and also realize that theirs is just a job. If you can do something to lighten their day, so be it.

I’ve had an implanted defibrillator for many years (bad family history of heart arrhythmias). My cardiologist said to avoid walking through metal detectors when possible. I don’t have a penile implant.

So I’ve been getting hand pat downs at the airport for years and years. Always quick, on rare occasion my cock was directly felt, just usually a brush with the back of the hand.

Now that the body scanners are there I usually use those. Even though I don’t have an implant my groin usually lights up red and they check me. I take it in stride and consider it a point of pride. LOL

I get stopped every time. He uses the back of his hand to check after I tell him “dick implant”

I was stopped in Newark…scan showed two “red” areas: 1. Reservoir 2. Implant.
Was stopped immediately, asked if I had any implant devices.
Yep, I replied, penile implant.
Was given the option for private room/area for search.
Our flight was minutes away, had him Do it right there.
Hands out, felt the inside band of my pants. Back of hand along the penis. Turn, pants again, then butt.
Next, they checked my hands for any residue…10 seconds, that was ok…
I was done.
Meanwhile, my gf is laughing…well, she asked “ how was it?”

This is one problem I’m not going to worry about when I get an implant next year. I already set it off about 25% of the time due to testicle size anyway

Between dental implants, the hernia mesh, the screws used to tack my bicep back to the bone, and my trusty LGX, I have set the machine off every time. In last 3 years that would be AUS, FLL, MCO, DAL, EWR, BNA, DEN, MSY, GCM, ELP, & LAS. I always try for naked scanner because a quick grope of a flaccid implanted dick and I’m on my way.

I don’t tell TSA I have implants. I consider it a HIPPA violation. Sort of like my vaccination status.

Yesterday was my first air travel since IPP. Dallas TSA put me through the body scan and then decided I needed a full pat down. I didn’t tell them I had an implant, just wanted to see what would happen I guess it made a bigger impression (image) than I expected. LOL.Merry Christmas.

Just returned home from another trip and got the grope at both airports. Has happened every trip. For my own amusement, I now just simply announce "I have a penile implant." It's fun watching their startled reactions.
