I was just reading @AmansinCali recommending the Tommy John horizontal fly support underwear for post-op function and comfort, and this leads me to believe that many of you probably landed on something that worked much better than other options during your recovery period.
If you have something specific that you would not have lived without while you recuperated and/or had to use to hide the pickle for a few weeks, post it here.
Franktalk is a tremendous resource, and I appreciate all the info I've gleaned from you guys that have been down the path already.

Re: what product(s) did you find post-op that made a difference?
I found several things to help me get past the rough healing part.
A hot bath, once cleared to bathe I took a hot bath most every morning to ease my soreness
Aspercream- when all stitches were healed a small dab of this stuff kept my shaft feeling good
Children's Sock- slid one over my shaft to keep my sensitive head from rubbing in my underwear
Boxer Brief Underwear- Snug, but not constrictive.
Satin Boxers- Wore these at night the first couple of months to keep from tangling my penis up in my underwear
Lube- used the first few months for more comfortable sex

Baby socks, nice soft baby socks, they will protect the glans which will be sore from the needle penetrations and catheter. Helps tremendously. Target was my source.
Take the hospital’s bed urinal home or buy one, stand and pee into it then pour down the toilet, then you don’t have to worry about bending your dick down to pee, which is difficult until you are deflated even if you sit to pee.

when i had my implant in 2012 I used these during the 6 week recovery period when you're left inflated and they work. its like a glove made of silk you place over your penis, it's very comfortable. I ordered 2 of these in the silk version, definitely recommend. https://manhoodcanada.com/
Another member had recommended me to them back in the day, check it out.

For right after surgery cold packs. I bought 3 1 lb bags of dry pinto beans and put them in zip lock bags. Kept them in the freezer and rotated them for cold packs. They are dry so no clumping or leaking moisture. And I was able to cook them after I healed. You can use whatever you like. A large mouth bottle to pee in. You can ask for the one from the hospital but if they don't have them in your room as you many times have a cath in you may be stuck without one. Most drug stores have them. Remember you will be swollen and sore so make sure you have one with plenty of extra room. I was not cleared for baths for a long time. So I could not use them for recovery or for cycling when I was activated. I used a heating pad and it worked great. My doctor also insisted I take Motrin to reduce swelling and Bacitracin ointment for infection prevention after surgery. If you are alone make up all your meals and beverages for 3 days. Actually everything you need to stay in bed as much as possible for those 3 days. And have it as near the bed as possible. You can even put an extra pillow under your butt to help keep the swelling down. Cold packs and laying flat is the most important thing post op for the first 3 days.
For underwear I like the David Archy or Sepratech bamboo separate pouch trunks or boxer briefs. They felt really soft and smooth. It was a while before I used them though. I used white cotton briefs after surgery for a week or 10 days that I had washed in bleach and sealed in zip lock bags to keep them as clean as possible. I was really worried about infection.
Good luck.

Hot and cold packs
Pee bucket, used old yogurt container
Get off prescription drugs asap
Anvil after
Prune juice… for constipation
Underwear with “pockets” Haines is one good option
Pre made meals, if there’s no one to cook
Water
Handheld shower…makes clean up easy without getting penis wet
Focus on outcome…pain will subside
Get up and move..ok, slowlybut move
When the bandage come off, it won’t look pretty…
Follow your docs directions
My doc recommended weight placed on lower abdomen to help with drain
Patience

Re: what product(s) did you find post-op that made a difference?
Now that I'm post-op, I can chime in on my own experience and thank those that contributed and helped me be prepared.
1) the angled urinals that hospital has, take that one home and get another for the other bathrooms in your house. Peeing has been zero problem with these
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081S999SP?ps ... ct_details
2) refillable ice bags with clamp closure are perfect for putting vertically between your legs, against your scrotum and up your inflated shaft. Use the velcro straps to secure a baggie of ice on the side of your shaft nearest your belly button and you have ice from your taint to the tip on all sides secured with straps. The clamp will likely be above the tip of your dick, perfect to support the sheets from rubbing on it

3) donut seat cushion if you sit in a firm office chair. For me, my crus was sore for a few days and this made sitting MUCH more comfortable. Doctors can't numb the crus, so it's gonna be sensitive. BIG difference sitting on this.

4) Baby socks. These are perfect and I have more than I'll ever need. They cover me from the head to the scrotum with just enough grip to stay put.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BNT ... UTF8&psc=1
5) I have bidets on my home toilets, and although I'm sure I'd be OK without them, I appreciate them even more keeping things clean as a whistle back there with no effort or contortions.
I'm still determining the best underwear situation for myself, so far it's been just the bike shorts I use for biking. I bought the Tommy John briefs with the vertical pouch, but it doesn't support my penis to stay vertical. I just bought a jock strap with a 3" waistband, not sure how that will go with my relatively sensitive glans.
I have no pain and only mild discomfort, I'm thrilled that 5 days in I'm only concerned about the little things that may make a difference.
Thanks again for your suggestions, I feel that due to you guys on FT I hit the ground running and ready for the best experience I could have hoped for.
