That is a great question. I go to see him on 5 December for my postop check up. I have a bout two pages of questions I’m gonna ask him. I will add that question to the list. He is a center of excellence for Coloplast so I’m not sure if that means he’s partial to them or if you just earned it for the amount and quality of work he does.
With my revision that he did, he only replace the one rod that was not in the corporal body. He left the other intact. So he really didn’t have a choice to mix and match rods. He had to use the genesis for the replacement.
I did a fair amount of research on the different malleables, because that is still a possibility for my next surgery (hopefully last surgery). They all have similar satisfaction rates. The only thing I wish is that there was more bend Available with a genesis. It is 90°. I think it’s the Rigicon that has 135° of bend.
I honestly think when it comes to the malleables, they’re all pretty similar in function as opposed to the three piece where there seems to be a lot of differences. I’ll be sure to ask him at my next appointment and kind of get his opinion.
Thanks, Anfornee. You have become one of the most helpful posters on this forum. I'll be interested to hear Dr. Hakky's answers to your questions, as well as what you have to say after you tap ass with your new implant.
Born 1982. Implanted with Coloplast Titan 22cm in August 2021 by the great Dr. Perito in Miami. 6.125" BPEL, 5.25" EG. "It's the girth that gets her off."

I’m definitely looking forward to the appointment. I’ll bring a notepad, so I don’t forget anything. I’m not even two full weeks out and I have close to zero pain. It’s extremely hard for me not to disregard the doctors orders. But I will do my best to behave until he clears me. After what I’ve been through I don’t need any more complications.

Hello brother I hope you are doing well with your implant. Kindly update us about your position. I am considering a malleable implant because of high rate of revisions of IPP.

brother. how is it going?

The only thing I wish is that there’s a little bit more than 90° bend with a Genesis. Like if we can get like 135° or so it would be a little bit more concealable. I may just be self-conscious, but I do a fair amount of instructing in front of a class and I do notice peoples eyes traveling down towards my crotch area. I was never really cognizant of it before, so I’m not sure if this is normal or if I’m just reading into it now. But I normally wear either slacks or 5.11 pants a little bit bigger than I did pre-surgery. I’m gonna be honest I’m not really that concerned anymore. If people wanna speculate I’m OK with that. I think my only worry is when it comes time for the beach. How am I going to look in swim trunks? But let’s be honest, in the grand scheme of things this isn’t a horrible problem.
I will say that the first three weeks the shaft and head are very sensitive from the surgery so they’ll be a lot of shifting around. After three weeks, it seems to be a lot easier to conceal it comfortably for the entire day.
Thanx for taking the time to give so much detailed information.
You say the malleable is a little bit hard to conceal. How much does the ability to conceal differs from the inflatable? Did you also notice eyes staring towards your crotch with the inflatable?.

Hey Anfornee! (Also sent a PM!)
I don't want to bother or take too much of your time. Any input however based on your malleable experience will be highly appreciated.
My situation:
My titan failed, I got a new titan and the new titan got infected from the revision. So It's likely I'll get a malleable soon as well.
I have some questions about the malleable if you don't mind:
1) Are you able to sleep on your side/belly?
2) Did it change your number 2 habits? As in, do you usually put the junk inside the bowl or do you keep it outside? if the former, how did the malleable affect your experience?
3) How is your adaptation thus far? It's been a month or two for you, correct?
4) The concealment aspect. Has it been improving with time?
5) Have you done any exercising with the malleable? How's the experience?
6) Any blatant negatives with your malleable experiences that I'm not antecipating?
7) Any more gotchas in order to prepare myself?

Re: Test driving a Coloplast Malleable 1 piece
I too have been looking at malleables and trying to find out which is better for me. My main concern with the malleable over time is erosion. I am very active and running is my main work out and I just don't know if a malleable would be comfortable while running and more importantly would that give me a better chance of erosion. The concealment is my 2nd biggest concern. Haaky and Perito both can give fillers which even though they only last a couple of years it would cause your girth to remain the same, I can deal with a little loss in length but I really want to keep my girth. Good luck with your decision
