Need post surgery advice

Postby CutlassCat » Sat Jan 28, 2023 8:23 pm

I had surgery on the 20th and was told to walk frequently, but it is so painful. Ignoring the uncomfortableness around my balls that I imagine will go away when I get used to there essentially being a third testicle, my penis hurts very badly. It feels like nerves, which scares me because nerve damage I believe is why I needed the surgery in the first place.

Has anyone else had this issue and if it did get better, when did it get better?

I'm almost 2 weeks into having my implant and what you are describing sounds pretty par for the course. The surgeon was extremely rough on your junk so you definitely have bruising and soreness that you just have to wait out. It wasn't until about the 11th day for me to start feeling like I was moving towards being healed. Most of the days before that were just extremely sore and me needing to rest or take painkillers.
Just hang in there and do what the doctor tells you to do. But if walking is too painful, don't walk so much. You can walk small distances like from your bedroom to the kitchen and stuff like that. That counts as walking!
You really have to listen to your body and do the best you can do without making yourself miserable in pain.

I don't read a single thing in your post that sounds out of the ordinary. In fact, those members that report little to no pain are in the minority. Take a chill pill, relax. Healing takes time, give your body that time without expectations of a miracle recovery.

Yeah sorry if it took longer than you hoped to get a reply. I saw it last night and started typing but wasn't sure. Best guess is you are slowly realizing that the penis is VERY sensitive. I've had quite a few surgeries, but never one on my dick!!!! (well, I did have a vasectomy but it wasn't that bad). And jesus, dick surgery seems a little different.

Oxycodone can help, but don't take it too fast like I did and they cut me off after I think 3 refills in 10 days. Made me drive to the ER to prove to them my dick hurt, ugh.
