LOL.......sounds like a very informed person.

People are idiots.

My "friend" that works in the O.R. told me how horrible the surgery is and that I shouldn't have it done. She was wrong.

I suppose that there are some with those complications. However millions of guys get implants.

Mine works great, the surgery could make you cringe, I know I did when I watch the actual surgery videos. I covered the OR as a pharmacy technician and saw part of the surgery. But I’ll tell you knee and hip replacement surgery looks a lot more brutal.

What’s worse a non functional body part or taking a chance on low percentage problems

Pick a good, experienced surgeon and you will have the best experience. My surgery was basically painless--only taking Tylenol or Ibuprofen for 2-3 days intermittently.
As of an hour ago, my penis is stil there rearing to go.

Wow, this takes me way back when I was first on this board with the old host and had a different username. It had to do with a very well-known Florida doctor that does videos on implants. Ever notice that there are very few men on this site that had surgery by him. That is another thing but just something I have noticed. From what I remember he was being taken to court by a man that developed an infection and lost part or all of his penis. Information was mainly from member from this site but there was a link or 2 showing link to other reports of the lawsuit. And I remember that one member posted that the man was in prison. Lead me to believe that the man was able to have the government to pay the Florida doctor to do implant surgery as part of the duty to provide health care. The details that were posted and I do not remember any link to outside reports, was that the man on returning to prison had anal sex with another man very shortly after the surgery and then did not notify anyone of the infection until it had gone septic. If anyone wants to do a web search about the doctors lawsuit you may be able to find the article I did that list a lot of other stuff and on page 2 the info on this man. the article did not state he was in prison but it did not say he was not.

So the thing is if you do not take proper precautions and follow doctors instructions and do not seek care for infection and decide to let it clear up on it's own then yes it can happen. But if you are careful and take steps before surgery as well as after there is very little chance of infection. If you do get infection in the small percentage of cases seek treatment as soon as possible and the risk loosing part or all of your penis is nil and the same goes for your life.
