Implanted by the VA yesterday

I have been fighting for years with the VA for the implant. Wasn’t happy with the doctor but I pushed ahead. Was implanted with the titan Coloplast yesterday.

I’ve been reading this forum for years, but I have a lot of questions. My preop measurement was 3 1/3 inches flaccid . When she stretched it, it went to 5 inches. We went with the coloplast because of girth. I had a 6.75 inch girth before ED. 8 inches in length before ED. I know that’s not coming back.

After the operation, doctor said she was able to go larger and I ended up with 24cm. My goal is to be at 6 inches in length and 6 inches in girth. Just a pie in the sky goal. My doctor said she thinks I’ll be pleased with the length.

What is the expected, pumped up final version (after several months) expected to be on a 24cm implant?

Just had bandage and catheter removed this morning. It is not inflated currently, but rock hard and 2 inches long. Very uncomfortable how hard it is.

It’s hard to say what to expect length-wise. You probably already know a portion of those 24 cm went aft, into your body. Since bodies are different, the best way to get an idea of what to expect is to ask your doctor what the distal and proximal (in/out) measurements were at time of surgery. He has a device that measures that.

With that information you should be able to predict your length, though many guys here have pleasantly surprised themselves by their growth after a few months of cycling.

How do you know that? Losses from erectile dysfunction from aging are totally not gone forever. Should be enough information in the first four sources explaining how VEDs work: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18561&p=169469#p169469

Have you never used one? Also for the size you gave of being a 5" and wanting a 6", how the heck did you get a 24cm (9.45") implant? Note that I'm not an expert and misunderstand this stuff sometimes, but I'm not sure why you're assuming your earlier sizes are lost, and I'd think a 24cm implant is very capable of getting you back to when you were 8" before. I got a 24cm and I'm over 9" now. Someone explained to me how the length that goes below the pubic bone is different for some people, but still...24cm hoping for only 6"?

I'm just going by what several doctors have told me. They told me ED kills size and it can't be recovered. I was initially told I was receiving an 18 cm implant and it ended up being 24 cm. My doctor said that she was very happy with the size and that I would be also. She also said it's one of the biggest implants that she has done. It's all very confusing for me. The only thing that I can figure out is there was a lot of scar tissue from injections and she underestimated my length at the sizing appointment. I have gotten up to 6.5 inches on a regular vacuum device, but my girth appears to be largely gone, just looking at things from a visual standpoint.

These are all the reasons why I said I would be happy with 6 inches. Anything more than that and I would consider myself lucky.

I'm not as smart as your doctors, but I believe it's difficult for them to say anything but that. Urologists can't exactly tell their patients, "yep, after the implant you should totally expect your dick to be as big as it ever was!" Can't get patients hopes up by saying that if it doesn't come true, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to recover your size. And fwiw I'm confused also but I do think anecdotal evidence is sometimes better than studies proving how effective VEDs are:

Congrats shipmate. I’m surprised they fought you on it. I asked the Milwaukee VA urologist and she said sure right away. Tubing kinked and hoping to get it fixed but not sure I want to go through another healing. Size is what I had before if not bigger by 1/4 inch. Girth is back too. When fully aroused it looks like my old diamond cutter. Remember to do the Perito cycling exercises to get the maximum length and girth possible. It works.

Congrats on getting the implant. I never measured myself before or after but I know my length is shorter than what it used to be. The kicker is my surgeon never mentioned cycling, I had not found FT yet, so I was unaware cycling was supposed to be happening. I definitely inflated numerous times the first several months, but just for sex or masturbation. Makes me wonder if cycling would have made a difference.
Hope you're happy with the end result. I say cycle and exercise your new tool and see how much you can gain back.
