Hello everyone,
I'm now 3 and a half weeks post surgery and in general healing up fine.
Just one thing that bothers me a bit.
The swelling is completely gone since about 2 weeks post OP, however occasionally I still get swelling of my scrotum. It's not much and goes away the same day and I think it is related to irritations: Once I wore pants that were too tight and bothering me down there, once it was in the morning where I think I might have been sleeping in a way that was squeezing it.
So guys do you think that's normal or should I go see a doctor about it?
Thanks a lot in advance!

I don’t think you need to get the doctor involved since, as you said, It's not much and goes away the same day. Plus you know the irritations that causes it. Outwardly, at 3.5 weeks, it may appear like the swelling is gone but things inside are still healing. Just be a little more careful to avoid such irritations and you should be fine.

Thanks for the comforting reply! I'm really afraid of getting an infection although I understand chances should be pretty low in the meantime...

Re: Occasional Swelling of Scrotum
Im 8 weeks postop. All normal down below now.
We’re you penoscrotal? I was. My non-professional opinion is that as long as you have soreness or tenderness near the surgical site, the swelling you mentioned should not be an issue. I think you’re good, but do understand your concerns regarding infection. We all share this concern and tend to be very aware of anything going wrong down there. Chances are overwhelmingly in your favor that you don’t have an infection.

Hi,
happy to hear that it went fine for you, I think at 8 weeks you should be really in the 99,999999% safe area
yes was penoscrotal and am still pretty sore , especially around the pump in the scrotum.
I also was at a doctor in the meantime and he confirmed that all is normal and no inflamation nor infection so all good.
Yeah, we all are cautious because it would be so devastating in case it happened even if the chances are low with experienced surgeons.
But that´s why I just run to the doctor as soon as I have the slightest concerns, you can not be cautious enough and in "worst" case you have lost a few hours waiting at the doctors...
