I have reached the coveted "six week" mark this past Tuesday. Now everything is sunshine and lollipops and I can go on a hole-wrecking fiesta with my bionic toy! I can play with myself for hours on end and screw everything that moves.
Well... maybe not. Here's what I got:
At six weeks I'm feeling the best since the implant surgery date. My pump is low and centered and my scar is smooth and the swelling has gone down considerably on the surface. All the bruising is gone, too. I think there is still internal healing going on because there are some little aches and pains in the area in general.
It is quite painful with the dog ears/angles and rigidness of the shaft tubes. I also just realized this week that I can deflate myself so the tubes lie flat like a pancake instead of squeezing the shaft and making the tubes flat vertically - which then hurts a lot when the penis wants to bend downwards. Lots of soreness from dog ears but I figure that will get better once the tubes get more soft and stretchy. I feel a bit overstuffed all the time and now being a "shower" instead of a "grower" is uncomfortable sometimes. I never thought I'd miss my shrinkage days! I also have had to make some changes in my briefs and how I pack my junk when wearing work clothes because it always looks like,
"Now presenting... TuffDadSF's HUGE PENIS!"
which is kind of embarrassing at work.
I've had sex and it was great but afterwards I had a burning sensation all over the shaft which went away the next day. Maybe it's still healing and my penins is just getting used to the whole thing? Or the skin was sliding around too much around the shaft?
I've also noticed that for now I need lots of lube to do anything with my dick because it's super sensitive and hurts to jack off dry.
I also get concerned about the tips of the tubes. I have this fear that they are going to eventually poke out from the skin under the head of my dick. When I am hard and aroused the tips poke into the glans correctly and seem protected but when hard and NOT aroused they kinda poke underneath the glans and it gets me nervous.
I also thought that maybe I got over-implanted but I read somewhere on this site that if you are fully inflated you should not have any bends or crinkles in the tubes which would be the sign that you are over-sized. Mine is smooth and hard when full so I guess I am the right size.
I am being very patient with the length issue. I lost a full inch and a half but I see some improvement when I cycle. I also think it's because I am still swollen on the inside where the cut was made for the implant to be inserted which is sort of sucking the base of my dick into my body. Fortunately my girth is a LOT bigger than before so that makes up for it. I have noticed that my girth is more oval shaped than cylindrical. Hopefully that will work itself out.
My scrotum is almost empty. What I mean is that there was a lot of "goo" around the pump and the pump tubing. That has shrank significantly but it's still a slight sheath around the whole thing which I massage and break up daily. Does that ever go away completely?
My partner loves the implant and has noticed the difference in girth (and in length ) but he knows it will all come back in the coming year.
That's it so far. I'll do another big update at 3 months. Feel free to comment and answer some of my questions. Thanks for reading!

Re: SIX WEEKS!
Man, I'm jealous you've hit the 6 weeks. I'm 9 days post op and I feel great, I can feel all parts of my pump with no pain, my shaft and head feel great, no swelling, no bruising, let's get this show on the road! I'm having a tough time getting my head around 4.5 more weeks of dealing with this 60%er before I can do anything.
My wife laughs at me, we shower together, we spoon together, we cuddle and she gives me those eyes and says "4.5 more weeks...doctor's orders" She's enjoying this a bit too much.

Your wife sounds awesome! Glad to see a girl with a sense of humor!

Re: SIX WEEKS!
Hey TuffDad.
Great to hear of your progress! It’ll get better. Couple of comments.
1. I have always used lube for everything. Even jerking off. It’s my normal.
2. I laughed at “TDs Huge Penis”! I was a solid grower before. Now i wear my dick in its Seperatec underwear pouch. (seriously, before that would have been unthinkable. My guy would have pulled out of the pouch). Now, it looks handsomely adorned in its own little robe, bulging proudly.
I like going to the gym now. The only time i am concerned is bench press day. When i lay on the bench I pitch an obvious tent! So, i wear a jock strap on bench day, but otherwise let it hang. I love this added bonus.
3. i can feel the tips when flaccid, but they seem to work into perfect position when pumping up. No indentations or anything unusual in appearance. But as i’m still in the active cycling phase i’m white knuckling it from the glans pressure at full stretch. I have had similar dark fantasies of the tips bursting forth like alien tentacles.
But overall, i’m very pleased and optimistic. Best wishes.

Glad to hear that you seem to be doing better than before. I'd encourage you to posting something about your process at least weekly for your own benefit, as well as for those who have been keeping track of your progress.
I switched from daily to weekly reports in my progress thread, which (by and large) have been uneventful and probably of little use/interest to others, except as an example of how well things can go w/an infrapublic IPP.
I've got another follow up appt (the 3rd and presumably the final) w/my doc in May and, if all continues to go well until then, I expect that's when I'll stop posting any further reports.\
Good luck & best wishes with your continuing recovery.

Re: SIX WEEKS!
I am curious about the "goo" as well.
I have quite a bit of it around the tubing on the right side and underneath my penis....although I am.only around 15 days
When did you really notice that it had decreased?
And for the others farther along in recovery....does the scrotum goo ever for away completely? I don't remember from my first implant if I even had it.

Re: SIX WEEKS!
Glad you are doing well at the 6 week mark TuffDadSF!
I'm sure most of the issues you mentioned will go away over time. It's said the healing from this takes a full year, although most of the healing is over by the first 3 months. One thing that won't go away however is the new bulge that you've got. Can't tell you how self-conscious about it I was at first. But all this time there has only been once I noticed someone checking out my bulge.
Keep posting your progress every so often. It helps other guys make that decision when they see good outcomes.
Best to you.
