I havent posted here in quite a while but this seems like a good post to give my update and hopefully can help you with your nervousness. I am 3 1/2 months post op and have been lucky with a speedy recovery and can use it whenever needed . I still pump it daily for about 60 mins when I can (sometimes only 40 mins bcs of time constraints). To be honest sometimes I find this aspect burdensome but maybe I'm being lazy, I don't know. My size is about the same and I feel it is straighter and harder (of course!!:)...can be too hard as my wife complains if she's not lubed well enough (We keep coconut oil handy for such problems) coconut oil works great and I'm glad I found out about it's ero use!
At this point I am still slightly numb on the underside of my penis and around the incision site on my scrotum. This is normal and Dr Eid says will go away as the nerve structure rebuilds to put it simply.
My penis head can feel cool when I am therapy pumping. I don't notice that when I am aroused tho. In fact my penis looks fuller and quite different when aroused compared to just fully pumped. The head is full and veins show up as to be expected but it seems straighter too than when it was 2 months ago. (i posted a pic under members only).
I can say also that there are some cosmetic differences/ concerns. I have a titan so I know from literature that it is more rigid when flacid and I've found that I have to adjust myself. Especially when exiting a pool where somehow all eyes can be on you and if you arent positioned down you look like your erect!! Embarrassingly I learned the hard way about this when a woman complained to my wife poolside. Anyway she told the woman that thats just the way I am and I wasnt erect. I guess that left the woman a little curious ! LOL!
Realistic expectations.

Re: Realistic expectations.
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 and my recovery was unremarkable --- some swelling,
discoloration and discomfort which gradually faded with time.
After several months, the Titan just became part of my body and does not interfere with any of my normal physical
activities, including weight training, swimming (I wear a Speedo Racing Suit), etc.
Tankerman, I wish you all the best with your up-coming Penile Implant.

Re: Realistic expectations.
Apparently the doctor just told me he wasn't able to get the cylinders all the way up the head and that some peoples erection chambers stop short, but i always when i got an erection had no problems with the head ingourging with blood and getting bigger and penetrating. I went to the doc 2 weeks ago and there was still some swelling he told me. I don't have diabetes or anything I am just a slow healer. It was hit or miss with the cialis at 30 milligrams because i had a venous leaks. I am not sure what size cylinders he used I believe he used 22 inch but they stop just before the back of the head. I was told eventually I would get back to 8 inches once everything heals. I have tried to have sex and its to painful. I can masterbate a little and cum but without pumping the pump at all and then my balls hurt a little. I still can't get beyond 20 or 30 pumps and then i am still only about 4 inches. My doc said he likes the titan because you don't loose length and you gain girth. So I see him in 2 weeks again. I am still taking pain pills for it.

Sure you don't mean 22 cm cylinders? Well 22 cm cylinders would give you about 5.75" ... ask your URO for a copy of the Implant report ... the exact cylinder size would be noted there.
I was told eventually I would get back to 8 inches once everything heals
Told by who? ... to get to 8" you would need at least 30 cm cylinders ... which they do not make ... largest is 28 but they can add RTE's (rear tip extenders) this would also be noted in the surgical report ... if any were used.
I still can't get beyond 20 or 30 pumps and then i am still only about 4 inches
With that theory ... 30 pumps = 4" ... so to get back to 8" you'd need 60 pumps, I guess you know that isn't going to happen. I'm not trying to bust your bubble on size ... but I think your expectations are just not realistic.
Several months from now when everything is healed ... the discomfort in the tips subsides ... you will feel different about your situation. No more ED ... which is a huge weight lifted off your mind. Try pumping in a hot bath or use a rice sock ... the additional warmth makes a difference ...

I have tried using a heating pad and the bath think and it doesn't work. I am going back to my doc on sept 4. All I know is I was about 8 inches before surgery and at this point i am almost to the point i wished i wouldnt have done the surgery and just did the cialis with hit or miss results

fnrldir07,
You are less than 30 days since surgery ... give it time, have patience ... you are expecting way too much too soon.

If you are losing your erection my doc told me it vein leakage, you can stand up or doggie style that will stop the leakage (gravity) or put a cock ring or band on it. That works!
Re: Realistic expectations.
I am one month post surgery with an AMS 700CX. I have two questions for those who have experience. First is that the frenulum area was extremely sensitive before the operation. Now it lacks feeling. Is this usual and does it get better with time? I am assuming that it is the result of nerve damage along the raphe at the site of the implant. Secondly, can anyone tell me if the pump will eventually descend some in the scrotum? Mine if pretty tight up against the base of my penis and is somewhat uncomfortable. I am hoping that it will descend naturally. Any advice from those more experienced will be appreciated.

Geezer6,
If you read thru the Implant section ... you'll find that most URO's advise on manually pulling down on the pump. Try this while sitting in a hot bath ... it really helps.
