Lost size?!?

Postby atranger » Wed Apr 26, 2023 11:57 am

I had an AMS 700cx 21cm implanted on April 10...stretched length a week prior to surgery (by the physician) was 6" - using a pump it was a bit more - 6.5". Post-surgery, I started cycling about a week out and when I pump it till it's rigid and a bit painful I top out at 4"! I anticipated some loss, but this is much more than I expected and inconsistent with what I see posted.

Does anyone have a similar experience or a sense of what I can expect in potential growth as I continue cycling?

I've said many times. Do not measure yourself for several weeks. Size can take up to 1 year of cycling to regain.

I’m sorry. Everything you describe sounds totally normal to me. I went from a bit over 6 3/4 to 4 1/2 or so. Yeah I was pissed, devastated, unamused, and tried to keep a brave demeanor on in this website despite being WTF? in real life.

You’re at two weeks, give or take. At this point you have nothing nada zero zilch to worry about.

I’ve got the LGX. I doubt there is that much difference other than you’ll probably have a bigger flaccid.

No two guys are alike, but one common thread seems to be cycling brings everybody back. Some more quickly than others. I saw most of my size return between month 6 and month 12.

I was real picky about the size deal. My injected best erect measurement before surgery was 6.85”. The last time I checked the ruler I grabbed was cm, and I measured 17.3 cm. Convert that to inches, it’s 6.81”

Do you really think that anyone’s gonna notice .04” of length if it is hard as steel?

Two weeks after surgery I was over 2” less than my start point. Cycling brought it all back. My selfie is in Members Only forum, DOTD, p 99. It’s tough to be patient. Not everybody sees a huge loss right after surgery, but a good number of us do. It’ll be ok. Give it time.
Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

Thanks - I realize 4" is better than the nada I had going into surgery but it's a good thing to think it'll end up somewhere closer to "normal".

Unfortunately, the Cx model isn't known to stretch much as the LGx. I have the Cx and sort of hate it. It works, but I lost 2.5" in length (5.5 now) and about an inch in girth. I was implanted Apr 12, 2021. I have stretched (pumped up) 95% of the days and sometimes twice a day. I try to pump (not a VED pump with constriction bands) with my regular pump but the cylinder is uncomfortable because of the pump in my ball sac. No increase in length at all.

KenJ: I'm feeling your disappointment.
I was implanted with the CX 24cm, plus .5cm RTE on April 19, 2023 in Dallas. My high volume, nationally recognized specialist only measured stretched penis length (SPL 14.5cm) during initial consultation. Prior to the appointment I was using medication, injections and periodic use of a VED and the only time I measured was during pre-operative cycling which resulted in a fraction over 7" inside the tube...post-surgery, I'm not even close. I don't need to measure, all I know is the difference in feel and visual (both length and girth) are shorter and narrower.
Currently eight weeks post-op and cycling daily as recommended, but like you, it certainly seems that the CX has reached it's maximum length. I'm still experiencing stretching discomfort so I'm hoping it's a sign of better days ahead.

P.S. This is my first post on the forum, so if anyone has any formatting tips please let me know.

Welcome to the forum, atranger.

How far do the distal tips of the implant go into your glans when you are inflated? This is fairly important in assessing where lost length might be hidden. And, if you remember, how far did your tunica albuginea extend into you glans when you were able to have natural (with or without drugs) erections? It they are the same, that bods well for your future length recovery.

I am not going to guess what you will end up with but I guarantee it will be way over 4 and likely closer to 6.

The first time I pumped up and saw my poor little guy (probably 4 inches) I laughed but thought, "better than nothing, at least it's rock hard." At the 5-month mark, I had gained at least 1.5 inches. I discovered the Pierto exercise shortly after the 5-month mark (thank you Frank Talk!) and after 'getting rough' with my implant during cycling per Pierto, the gains were significant and quick thereafter.

Today I am completely satisfied with everything, including my length. Keep cycling and don't worry about measurements until at least 6 - 8 months of cycling have passed. Pierto exercises made all the difference for me. Good luck!
