65 ml reservoir in an Ams 700 LGX 18+1

Postby jrjrjr » Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:49 pm

My surgery was 13 days ago, so I still can't inflate and test my prosthesis, but I have a question, on the Boston Scientific page I see that they suggest a 100ml reservoir for the size of the cylinders (18) they put me in, but on the description of my surgery I can see that the doctor put me a 65ml reservoir, do you think I may have a filling or expansion problem due to this? It occurs to me that perhaps the surgeon left some saline solution in the cylinders, meaning that they are never completely empty, and that is why he chose a 65ml reservoir. I don't think an experienced surgeon will miss this detail, what do you think? Does somebody know anything about this?

Thank you so much

I did some research and I saw a document that said the 65ml reservoir is sufficient for 18cm implant but nothing larger than that.

I have the AMS LGX 18cm and my doc put in a 100ml reservoir.

I don't think you will have any problems but if you have to have a revision down the road and the implants are larger, then you would have to have a 100ml reservoir.

Hopefully everything works well,

Friend, thanks for your answer, I see that you have the same implant as me, how have you been doing? How long did it take you to recover your original size and what is your size? thick and long. At times I feel very anxious and worried, I suppose it is normal after only 14 days of surgery.
