3 week implant update
Re: 3 week implant update
So exactly what do they mean by the Dr will activate or release it? I've heard that so much it isn't funny. I had my implant placed 2 weeks ago today, swelling is way down, 4 days ago I was pulling down on the pump and it slipped so instinctly I grabbed it harder and hit the deflate button, evidently enough to partially deflate it. I immediately squeezed the bulb ( not pressing deflate button at same time ( felt the pop and the bulb compressed once and refilled but could not for the life of me even with the thumb over thumb technique squeeze the bulb a second time, felt like it would pop if I tried any harder. Now the Dr said he sends us home at 50 to 60 percent, and when I did that it deflated a bit. After reading here in several posts, I decided two days ago to try to cycle the pump myself. Finding and pressing the deflate button is not an issue, I can press it and start to feel the fluid move I think. I can give the bulb a hard quick squeeze, feel the pop but now the bulb compresses and won't fully reflate, it gets to about 25 percent at which time if I continue to try to pump I hear the squishing sound ( like there's a lot of air in the pump ) but do not get any harder or movement in the cylinders. So right now I'm sitting at maybe 25 percent ( about half of what it was inflated to after surgery ). Does the deflate button have to be pressed as hard and fast like the pump to activate it or is a hard press and hold for 5 seconds enough? Do you need to let it deflate completely or most of the way before attempting to inflate it? Like I said I can give the hard squeeze and get the pop feeling/sound but it doesn't appear to inflate any at all. I go back to the Dr on Mon ( 5 days out ). Cycling the pump shouldn't be an issue for me as I can find the deflate button no issue and can get the pop for inflation but it just doesn't appear to be inflating at all and I can't even get it back to where it was after surgery. So yeah after the accidental pushing of the deflate button at about 10 days post op and then another 3 days of "I'm screwed and the Dr will be mad" I'm starting to "play" with it to see if I can get cycling down since I've already messed up and deflated partially. I've even tried to check to see if any tubes are kinked by pulling out, left, right, up and down on my penis several times. I'd just like to try to get it pumped back to where it was so I can "act" like nothing's happened.....
