No, that is NOT true. If you have ED and no implant, you can expect your penis to lose size and girth. The implant stops loss.

Yep, Dr Perito stated that once reflex and nocturnal erections cease, deoxygenation of penile tissue starts to cause corporal fibrosis and gradual loss of penile elasticity leading to size loss. This is why PDE5 inhibitors are used as penile preservation therapy after prostate cancer treatment to stop this from happening (and aid in regaining erections).

A penile implant is the most successful way to mitigate size loss. Id be very wary of any specialist who suggests definite or gradual size loss after an implant, as with a good surgeon this is not the case.

PDE5's are used to preserve cavernosal tissue post prostatectomy? I don't think PDE5's would work very well in that scenario I have read ICI and VED are the preferred modalities because they bypass the penile nerves to induce an erection.

For what little this might mean. A family friend had prostate cancer several years ago. His dr gave him a PDE5, don't know which one. He also advised him to mastrubate daily.

I have been implanted five years and have not lost anything since surgery. We are still very happy about the decision and Dr. Perito did a great job. Celebrating fifty years of marriage in July and thanks to my Titan we have wonderful sex.

This in turn would reduce penile injuries, create better and long lasting sexual experiences, and highlight that ED quite often is a canary in a coalmine.

AND more importantly that penile implants are a great option if all else fails. Might also help with long term depression rates.
