Red scrotum

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a red scrotum weeks after surgery? I'm at 6 weeks and things all seemed to have improved but my scrotum is still red. Dr told me I had red scrotum syndrome and gave me a beta blocker for it but the redness makes me worried about infection and just wondering when it will go away?

To my knowledge the infection window ends at 6 weeks (I guess there could technically be longer infection windows, but you are 30).

I'm getting my stitches out tomorrow at an urgent care. Hakky clear you to get yours out?

I think it’s ok Hakky reviewed a photo of the wound and said it’s looking better. Just wasn’t sure if the redness was normal.

Really? He told me the stitches were dissolvable.

I'm pretty sure most guys get their stitches out manually after 6 weeks if they havent dissolved on their own. YMMV though. Maybe Hakky saw something unique in your case and wants them to stay in until dissolved. But those stitches can take up to 180 days or something crazy to completely go.

But ya, as clear as day he told me 6 vveeks, invited me dovvn to Atlanta so he could remove them, or I could just go to local urgent care. I elected urgent care cuz I cant take time to see him novv.

Please verify vvith him though as your case may be different.

Mine was purple for a while after surgery. Then back to normal color for about a week or so. Then it turned purple again and has stayed that way still today. I'm 7 or 8 months out of surgery. There is no discomfort and everything is good, so I'm not concerned about it. I asked my urologist about it at my 6 month check up and he said he didn't know. If I was to make a wild guess I might think it is from me squeezing the bulb too hard. I still cycle once a day and really pump hard after the bulb is hard to maximize erection.
