Had an ear infection 10 days ago.ENT prescribed an antibacterial eardrop. After using it last few days the pain and discharge have almost gone.
Does this ear infection have any connection with implant surgery?
Dr.Eid mentioned that IPP infections occur mostly from bacteria on the skin or the groin region.
My surgery is scheduled ina week.
Confused if I should bring it up to my surgeon.

I doubt if an ear infection, especially one that is clearing up, will have any impact on implant surgery. Unless you pick your ear and change your surgical dressing without washing/disinfecting your hand in between.
I believe Dr Eid was referring to bacteria that is on the skin in the groin area, which is why 1) you will wash with an anti-bacterial soap before surgery, 2) will be advised to not shave your genital area before surgery, 3) if removing hair is necessary, the surgical team will do it in a sterile fashion and 4) Dr Eid's procedure (which he calls, "no-touch") involves a very well planned-out protocol with the minimum opportunity for skin bacteria to ever touch the surgical instruments, implant or your internal tissues by direct contact or secondary contact with the gloved hands of those operating on you. Take a lookat some of his videos. He is VERY thorough.
