Implant has failed after 7 years of erections
Implanted by Dr. Gerard Henry in 2016 with an AMS 700 MS series . A couple of weeks ago the pump failed it will not inflate, either the tube coming from the reservoir has disconnected from the pump or the bulb is faulty, hard to tell . I do know a revision or a repair is next . My problem is Dr. Henry is a high volume implant Doc , because of this the scheduler at his office has my first appointment set for Sept 22 ,,I am almost sure surgery will follow later after the consult. Then the 4 to 6 weeks after surgery before sex . Without the ability to cycle I am probably going to lose some length and girth . My question is ; what can I do to give “Uncle Herman “ a fighting chance at redeeming is former statues . It’s gonna be a long time before “Uncle Herman “ gets happy again . Any suggestion s are welcome !!! Help !!

7 years is a good run! Dr. Hakky told me that you do not lose size you gain size with the implant. You should be upsized from your previous model.
Regarding your interim, September is ridiculous. I would recommend finding a different high volume surgeon. For example When I decided to go with Dr. Hakky he told me if my implant were to break he would have me back in the OR within 3 weeks. However, if you are set on your surgeon I would be on them like a fly on shit calling everyday checking for cancellations and bombarding the doctor with questions about how to maintain your size for the interim period.
I'm not sure that you can experience a decrease in length though since your tissue is fixed around the surgical capsule. Good luck!

I agree with Hillywilly on the size loss issue. You may or may not get a larger implant. (Most revisions after several years to, but that does not necessarily translate to a longer length measurement of the erection, just the size of the implant.)
A decrease in size due to lack of erections waiting for your revision is unlilkely (from what I have read). You now have a scar tissue capsule around the implant tubes which is unlikely to shrink in just a couple of months. If anyone can disabuse me of that notion, please post. Shrinkage without erections BEFORE implant is a problem possibility because it is living tissue which can atrophy. The implant is not living tissue, so cannot atrophy and scar tissue is not as "living" as unscarred tissue.
DO MAKE IT CLEAR that you are available to fill any cancellations.
