Ok this is for the guys that have the AMS 700 CX, maybe the LGX as well.
I noticed that when I pump to what I assume is 100% ( or close to it ) the cylinders are very hard and not easy to bend like they're supposed to be. But they appear to taper towards the glans. What I mean is, I can feel in my scrotum the bottom ends of my cylinders and those things are thick and round - pretty much the girth I had before surgery.
But as I feel my way up towards the glans it appears that they get much smaller, especially when I cross over the surgical incision line ( mine is not the typical penoscrotal where they cut along the "seam" but the incision is across, left to right, instead of up and down.)
Could the scar tissue from that be constricting the distal ends of the cylinders and not allowing them to expand/fill like the bottom part? The bottom part not far below the incision line gets very thick and hard when I inflate, the top towards the glans after the incision line gets very hard but is tapered, the area at the glans I would say is at best half the roundness/thickness it is at the lower end.
I'm guessing that's why we have to cycle it, to get the cylinders to "stretch" those areas so they can inflate properly along the whole length. I guess maybe after I get it inflated I'll try to squeeze the lower end and see if I can force or move fluid up along the cylinders. Before surgery my girth was a little thicker at the base, but no where like it is with the implant right now.
Yes I know I'm still early on in cycling my implant having been implanted with a working one just 3 weeks ago and cycling for about 2 weeks ( half a week once a day for about 15 minutes then just over a week now of twice a day for 15 to 30 minutes or longer.) Just wondering if this is normal and if the end towards the glans will get thicker/closer to my original girth.
Cylinder taper?
Cylinder taper?
AMS 700 CX 21cm x 12mm with 1.5cm RTE, MS pump, and Conceal Reservoir. Implanted on 4-12-2023 removed and replaced 6-22-23 with the same, 1st implant surgery had pinhole leak in left cylinder, second failure tubing at connector
Re: Cylinder taper?
My CX 21 is a little newer than yours. I don't notice any taper. But I'll pay closer attention over the next few days. I have a deep cruz so that might affect the cylinders also.
I do feel where the cylinders have the distal tip molded into the cylinders. I'm a bit curious how they'll feel & blend into the cylinders after the CX finally gets stretched out to the tunicas max size.
I have noticed that my flacid size is increasing. Btw, I'm not doing any measuring at this early point in my recovery.
Lots more to learn going forward.
