Day 7

Today I slightly deflated and inflated a little!! I was feeling around the pump in my scrotum and curiosity got the best of me.. I moved my fingers up to feel for the deflate button. I held it down a little and wasn't sure if it did anything. Sure enough, my dick got softer! (I feel like I'm just re-discovering my dick lol.) Then I decided to test what pumping was like... I can only slightly squeeze the pump, it's way too hard to get much, and then I would feel these tiny squirts coming from my resevoir. The strangest feeling lol.

Does anyone know if it's OK to do this? I know Clavell likes his patients starting after 4-6 weeks but I didn't have much trouble doing it after only 1 week.

I am a 31 year old male living in Texas and have my surgery scheduled for August with Dr. Clavell. I'm excited, very nervous and scared, but I know this is going to be the best decision for my long-term happiness. I have dealt with ED for the last decade and it's only worsened year after year. Viagra/cialis gives me shitty side effects (without guarantee of getting hard) that I'm so ready to not have to deal with any longer. There's a lot of different causes that might be contributing to my ED, 1) two herniated discs from a lower back injury a decade ago, 2) psychiatric meds I'm taking for the last 7 years, 3) finasteride for the last 5 years, 4) sleeping pills I take every night to sleep and waking without any morning wood.

I have the same stories as I'm sure a lot of people here have had. The dreaded "is it going to work tonight" even after taking pills. In back-to-back weekends, I went home with 2 different girls (one inside her car, the other to her fancy apartment) and neither time did my penis even move the slightest. They were frustrated, I was frustrated. I was too embarrassed to explain my situation either and left what happened unsaid.

I'm younger than a lot of posters on this forum and I'm most fearful of the number of revisions I may need in the future going into later age. But, tomorrow isn't guaranteed, so why not have my dick working while I'm in my physical prime? I'm a big believer in self-improvement in all areas (mental, physical attractiveness, fitness) and sexual health is included in those goals.

I've had surgery with Dr. Clavell a few years ago (unrelated, for scrotal webbing removal). I wasn't even aware of implants back then. He's by far one of my favorite surgeons I've seen to so deciding to do this surgery with him was an easy decision (it also helps that his office is close to me and my insurance covers this surgery).

Thank you all for the enormous repository of information on these forums about implants. I wouldn't have been able to make a huge decision like this without reading through many threads here. I hope to contribute in the same way with my experience for others in the future!

Definitely it was finasteride. Finasteride did the same thing to me. Now Im considering implant.

As long as you are not puttung any pressure on your closed incision and are surealy able to deflte, i don't see any reason why it wouldn't be ok. Many docs have you cycling much earlier than 4-6 weeks

Day 15

Things are going well. Still taking ibuprofen everyday for moderate pain and soreness in my scrotum. I’m waking up some mornings from the pain, which is usually caused by inflated morning wood + engorgement making it feel too sore especially once the ibuprofen that I took the night before wears off.

The incision on my scrotum got a lot wider and more open and I texted Dr. Clavell pictures to make sure it was OK. He’s been letting me know that it looks fine but to apply bacitracin just to be safe and avoid putting any tension on it. It looks like my smaller scrotum needs to widen up more in order to fit the pump. I doubt at this rate I’ll get to cycle any sooner than 6 weeks because my scrotal incision has plenty of healing to go, which sucks. This inflated dick is the most annoying part of this process! The other thing that sucks is not getting to work out at all. I’m trying to limit my calories to offset my lack of physical activity, but it’s still a bummer to see my muscle definition going away.

I haven’t been leaving my apartment and going out to do normal things and see people because I’d prefer to just heal in solitude before then. I work from home so it’s been fine working, I just need to stand up and leave my desk at times to alleviate the soreness on my scrotum. I’m going out tomorrow for the first time since the surgery so we’ll see how I handle it throughout the night. Definitely bringing ibuprofen with me to be safe.

Overall, I can’t wait to use this thing. I can already tell the girth is going to be great once I can start to inflate and cycle this thing. My length is very visibly smaller once I hold my dick at 3 o clock, probably an inch and a half shorter. Not too worried about it because I’m sure once I’m healed up and cycling that my dick might even grow longer than its previous length (which was always hampered because I wasn’t getting fully hard). Patiently waiting to heal, but feel so impatient at the same time! I’m excited for my write up on sex once I get to use it

It’s a good question and my answer would probably be yes. I sent him a text a few days after with a picture of my incision and asked him if he thought it looked okay. His first response was “have you been messing with the pump?” Like damn! How did he know just from a pic of the incision which wasn’t even too open then?? But he was completely right, and I had deflated and inflated slightly that one time. I got super nervous that I fucked up my healing process and he said it was OK, just to avoid messing with it further. I don’t know for sure if my incision would have still opened without me touching it, but it was a valuable lesson. Don’t fuck around and disobey the instructions given! Lesson learned

Lol! I did something similar around week two, pump slipped cuz it was so damb hard at the time,/I couldn’t help myself either. Things felt sore for a couple days. Its cool the deflate worked so soon for ya.

I feel like I could have wrote this about my own recovery and feelings as mine is so similar!
I know now not what to do regarding the pump though:)
I feel ya on the erection, that is easily the worst part during this recovery figuring out how to hide it in public. I’ve been up to work a few times already and to dinner twice with friends. You just have to get creative hiding it. It’s still not very comfortable.
Wish we could snap our fingers and the recovery part is over. Continued well wishes my bionic brother!

Depending on how open and wide you wound is, You can pack it to ensure the healing process is doing what it's supposed to. I had my scrotal webbing removed last year and I had 4 stitches pop, it was awful. I ended up having to heavily pack my scrotum ( i mean a lot ). but it is what it is, it was scary but it worked. It took about an extra two weeks.
So depending on your situation you can pack lightly and or just tape gauze over the area in question. The goal is to keep all the coagulating build up off the wound.

Im at a similar age. May I ask what your worst symptoms were? And also, how was the morning wood when you got the implant?
