Thanks for your replies.

Coming up to four weeks post op tomorrow.

Feeling tense because I have only just over 2 weeks before I have to travel and wonder if the hemotoma will be gone by then so I can learn how to deflate.

Initially went in to see Doc about 2 and a half weeks post op but couldn't pump or deflate cause of the hemotoma, he said wait two more weeks and come back. Hemotoma still present so currently can't identify deflate valve at all. That two week wait mark is this week and I am booked to go in and see him but am wondering if I should just delay it two more weeks [which would make it six weeks post op all in all] to see if the hemotoma will be better then, thinking if I go this week and we try and pump/deflate and it's not fully healed won't it just make it worse?

Just thinking should I go this week just for him to see how everything is progressing anyway even if we can't pump it etc? See what he says about the hemotoma? Just a long trek there and back,

I think it is going to depend on your brand of implant. The AMS deflate button is fairly easy to find.
I still had some swelling when I was released to pump. I just slid my finger tip along the surface where the button was supposed to be. Sometimes I'd slide along it a couple of times but I always was able to release the pressure. With AMS, you'll know when you find it. It will at least vibrate ever so slightly. After it get broke in a little you can normally feel a small pop. Although mine can sometimes move to deflate mode without the pop. If your penis starts to deflate you know you got it.

Have you tried moving the pump around and try locate the valve? Sometimes the valve is not palpable at a certain location of scrotum but moving the pump around helps with finding it.

Feel very down. Hemotoma still feels like it's there for me. It's been three weeks since I saw the Dr and I still feel it's all the same. I have to go and see him this week. Can't for the life of me locate the deflate button. I thought I found it and squeezed it so hard but didn't feel it budge at all. Should the button feel as though it budges slightly or not? I have to travel in about ten days time and if I don't learn how to deflate this week with the Dr what the hell am I supposed to do when I'm abroad and can't even see the Dr anymore? Feeling well down.

The doctor should be able to get it down for you. Let him find and press the release button. THEN HEAL...You will be fine.!
