And how would you charge the bluetooth device in your scrotum? I am kind of imagining that having a battery inside your body can't be super healthy?

Charging could be similar to wireless charging your phone.
A small pad over the area for an hour or so each night.[/quote]
The battery's charging mechanism would not have to be in your scrotum, either.

10 years from now AI will be inventing implants as a matter of fact AI will make humans irrelevant in the realm of innovation within the lifetime of younger member which will have profound effects on the advancement of implants, medical technology and society at large.

Boston Scientific is also apparently going to release larger, more durable cylinders than what's currently available for the AMS, but I don't know the timeline on that. A good thing, imo, because even in his words, the LGX cylinders are too "squirrely" after 15cm due to the material it's made with.

On top of other reasons, it's these developments with the AMS influencing why he chooses not to work with Coloplast and offer Titan. Coloplast will just never have the funding to develop things much better than what they currently have.

Having one more device to charge doesn't seem very fun, and seems like one more part of the implant that can fail. Honestly it seems to me that i would prefer the manual version. But i would like to read more about it online.

I don't have a link, but my doc said they're going to be removing the pump and putting in a "can" that's going to double as a pump and a deflation mechanism. It's also going to have a manual override in addition to the bluetooth technology.

Squirrely in that the longer LGX cylinders are less rigid and more floppy, which is why he prefers to use the CX for people requiring over 15 cm, more specifically when they need 20 cm and up length cylinders.

An app on my cell doesn't sound secure. A key fob maybe? I'd leave that with momma. Watching the game on TV and suddenly up it goes. Yes, momma is horny.

Love the idea of the fob in the hands of the wife. Lol

I participated in a survey on a Bluetooth implant. I had to sign an NDA so I can't give specifics.

In my mind Bluetooth, the app, erc. isn't the issue. Iit's the same as our mobile phones, it's the battery..

We all know that batteries degrade the week after you get your new cell phone.

A lot of guys complain about revisions and the implant not lasting 10 years.

I'd be asking how often does the battery have to be replaced?

Surely if they're trialling bluetooth capability that they would also consider a vibrate function? Sounds outrageous right? Think about this. How many of us on here either before implant or immediately after are anxious to the eyeballs of having a prosthetic penis? In reality though having a rock hard penis that never goes down should appeal more to a female than a natural one that does. That fact however doesn't always mitigate the anxiousness, because its just replicating what nature should be doing.

NOW, what about levelling up - Imagine having a conversation with a potential partner that your dick not only doesn't go down, but it vibrates....with different settings from 'Oh f......k' to 'You may call me Daddy'.

It might significantly reduce the time until the vinegar stroke, but it would be a fun 15 seconds...

I suppose with a Bluetooth pump you could pulse motor up and down to achieve the same thing? Hopefully the software is opensource so it can be hacked as required.

OK, i swear I did not read this article before I suggested a vibration function. To say I'm excited that it's been mentioned as a concept is a total understatement. How can the implant community add traction to this? Shut up and take my money.

From the article:
"Very recently, a touchless prosthesis designed to achieve a set shape from magnetic induction was reported (9). This prosthesis, consisting of a temperature-tuned nickel titanium alloy, was implanted in both an animal model and in several cadavers in the “flaccid” state and then activated using an external magnetic inducer wand. The device was activated within 45 seconds with a small but likely clinically unimportant increase in skin temperature at the implant site. The implant was able to resist substantial buckling forces (10). Although early in development, the potential of such a device to obviate the need for pumps and hydraulic tubing may pose a substantial advantage in terms of durability and ease of operation. Long term safety, ease of activation on demand, maximal obtainable rigidity, and prevention of unwanted activation from exposure to magnetic fields (e.g., with magnetic resonance imaging) remain major issues that will need to be resolved for this form of implant."

If there is a way to not have a pump and tubing in the balls and still be able to inflate it manually, i don't even need the bluetooth. I'd be extatic if i had a manually working implant without anything in my balls
