Are early revisions common?

There seems to be alot of posts on here of people getting early revisions... is this common or misuse??

Im getting implanted next month and its got me worried.

After getting inplanted can i do regular excericises in the gym like squats or deadlifts? Or should i avoid some lifts forever?

For a while you will need to be careful and just worry about wound care and avoiding infection. Your doctor will tell you your restrictions. There differ a bit depending on the doctor and surgery approach. I had Penoscrotal surgery and had a 10 lb weight lifting restriction for a while. After you are healed you should be able to do most everything did before. Again it may depend on surgeon and reservoir placement. Men are different as are doctors. Might take longer to be able to do every exercise again and you may have to ease back into some things more than others.

My doc said that the cases of implants lasting 15+ years are typically for older men that aren't using the implant all that much. Based on my sexual activity, he said I should expect approximately 5 years. I needed a revision after only one year due to an issue with the valve, but he went ahead and replaced my LGX with a CX because the cylinders are more durable and should withstand constant use better.

Tl;Dr- The more you use the implant, the faster it'll end up needing replaced.

Fuck man, i really hope having a valve issue after 1 year is super rare. Honestly if i got 5 years out of mine id be happy.

I was implanted almost 7 years ago. I have sex at least 5 times a week or more. I am a gay man and anal sex is often. My doctor tells me I should expect 10 to 15 years.
