Day 12

Much better, off the narcs and cycling between Ibp and Tylenol. If I sit up and move around, I have about an hour before I require putting my legs up and resting for 30 mins. Still swollen but that i decreasing and the frequent urination tells me my body is passing the fluids.
Pain is about a 4, more of an ache, though I did roll over on my side last night and when I got back on my back, the reservoir area pain was quite acute for a solid 5 minutes but subsided.
Appt with Dr Hakky Weds. he wants me to start cycling. Can just make out the bulb, tried for the block but still a good amount of fluid in the sack. I am able to pull the pump down so thats a start.
Overall things are moving in the right direction. Dr Hakky put it best, do to a drain issue and swelling, Im about a week behind. If things keep improving Ill be good.
Thanks for the support

27 days out:

My bruising and hematoma have greatly reduced. I can and do cycle 2-3 times a day without issue. The pump sits a little high but Im getting it to come down and when I deflate I can feel remnants of the hematoma in my scrotum but again its getting better.
My only issues now are a case of edema which causes a burning sting along parts of my shaft and a bulbous sack just behind my glans. Ive been treating with ice and heat but it would subside. Its quite sore but not painful if that makes sense.
The issue that is troubling me more is the swollen pubis area just about my penis. It is eating a solid 2”- 3” of my penile length. Im hoping this subsides. My mental health needs it t go away  its also very solid and has little give so its not something I cant pull back to reveal my penis. I did not have a large fat pad prior to surgery, maybe 1/2”, Im not used to it being 2-3” of hard fat pad (Other IP guys, did you have this swelling around your incision? Did it go away with time?) (also, FYI, before the “shoulda went PS”… Dr Hakky went IP because I had aggressive PD and he needed access to the plaque and other stuff in my penis.)
General soreness which should be expected and getting used to the dog-ears and stiff flaccid are the only other issues but I think and have confidence these will subside with time.
Havent been cleared for sex and honestly if Dr Hakky gave me to go ahead right now I dont think I could. The pain from the edema and any pressure above light to the incision swelling area would be too much.. I do feel a rapid healing in the last 7 days though so things are getting much better, I do not regret this at this surgery and Dr Hakky told me I would have a more complicated recovery than most due to the PD and some other testiclular issue I dont remember the name of, this was compounded by a stuck surgical drain (read the history in this thread for more info)

The good… this thing is like a rock when pumped up. The other night I walked out of the bathroom with a heavy towel draped over my erection to show my wife and there was no drop at all. I stand at 9 o’clock (Im a lefty  ). Most of my girth is retained, I measured the other day and Im 6” at the base and 5-11/16” just below the glans. My wife says she happy about this and that while my pre surgery girthy penis was nice to have it was often too wide and limited sex duration and frequency for her. We may have had sex more than 15 mins twice in 20 years. Im very lucky, my wife has been very supportive and helpful through this. Ive read some sad posts about wives that were less than enthusiastic about this issue and prospect. My wife has been a rock.

I can easily cycle, in fact erect is more uncomfortable than flaccid right now. I typically inflate and stretch sometime during the day for 30 mins then when I go to bed I inflate, fall asleep and deflate sometime in the night when I get up to take a leak.

Concealment is much better now too. Going to work in jeans has been helpful, while my flaccid is pronounced I can hide it now where before I had a prominent and uncomfortable and somewhat pointy bulge. The David Archy underwear others have recommended have been great.

I have an appt with Dr Hakky Saturday, Im sure he will clear me and Ill be able to address the edema and FUPA  I have going on.

Thanks for the support.

Bent Ben- good to hear things are feeling better. The first few weeks are tough.
My pain controls were hot baths, Aspercream and a kid's sock to cover my shaft. Hope the next couple weeks find you feeling zero soreness and able to use it.

Excellent news BB! All of the swelling will eventually go away….just need some time. Glad to hear the cycling is going well. I, too, am pretty uncomfortable flaccid. Fresh folded dog ears are kinda pointy…and irritate the tunica in certain spots. I am confident this will also pass as the cylinders soften a bit. It’s a testament to the strength of the titan’s construction.

Remember, we have endured some significant trauma to our most sensitive area times three! Balls and sack are gonna hurt. Penile shaft and glans are gonna hurt. Abdomen (reservoir) is gonna hurt. And also tubing channels are gonna hurt…..(okay, I guess that’s four lol).

But after we heal, I know some sweet ladies that are gonna hurt…..in a good way.

Bent Ben. It sounds like your recovery is going ok but perhaps a little slow. I'd like to point out that it sounds like your surgery wasn't a basic implant installation. Having severe peyronies means that you was subjected to a lot of work to break up the plaque. Sometimes that involves bending the penis until the plaque actually breaks. That has to be rough on your penis.
In my lousy old man logic means that you're going to have a longer recovery than most members here. Your pubic swelling is normal in my opinion. I can only suggest that you pick an over the counter pain reliever that reduces swelling. Buy a big bottle & take it religiously. Oh, I've heard of men gently applying compressing pressure to the pad area to help move fluid away.
Good luck. You'll make it.

My wife has been a rock.

I'm sure there's a poem here somewhere: My wife's a rock, and so's my cock. My wife's a Venus, and so's my penis.

Do we have a bard to complete this?

Ben: I’ll echo Gt56’s sentiments. It sounds like you’re doing ok. Yeah, if they had to fix Peyronie’s issues the recovery is going to be more rugged.

I was infrapubic. In my case I’d had 3 inguinal, an umbilical, and 4 epigastric hernias repaired starting at age 4. (5 of them in last 12 years). There was….not really worry….but some thought given as to how to place the reservoir without creating a bigger mess.

As an infrapubic, I can assure you: the area where the pubic fat pad right above your dick will be the LAST swelling to subside. It will subside. It just takes its sweet time to do so. And yes, when it all goes away you’re going to discover you are pretty much back at your original length.

The good and bad news is that it is all going to heal but you can’t make it happen any faster by wishing. 3 months will be better than right now. 6 months will be better than 3. A year from now it’ll be even better.

Cycle, stretch, and heal. By cycling I saw incremental length gains over a year after surgery. Cycle and use it. That’s why you had it done.

Speaking of wishes, I wish you continued recovery and good luck.
