I was implanted 8 weeks ago (ams 700 cx). Started cycling after 10days (as per doctor’s instructions). Sex at week 6. Everything seems to be working great.
A few days ago I pushed the deflate button and it felt like it didn’t pop back up. It still inflates/deflates ok, but the button is less prominent, harder to feel, and I need to press harder than before.
Doctor says that it’s tissue covering the button. I tried to probe the area to see if anything need to be removed but I can’t tell. It just feels like the button is flatter now.
Anyone experienced this before?

Deflate button covered or not popping back up
Received AMS CX 21 August 24, 2023 (on my birthday). Previously implanted with penuma aka “himplant” February 2022
Re: Deflate button covered or not popping back up
Mine did that but it works like you posted. I am approaching 6 years and it still works. The AMS dvd that was in your packet has a trouble shooting guide in it. You can squeeze the ends of the block the deflate button is in and see if it pops back up. Mine did not. Just takes a lot to get it to depress enough now. But as long as it works it's all good for me.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

I’ve tried resetting but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I squeeze the block (end to end) really hard but nothing noticeable happens. What should I be looking for to know it’s been reset?

If it reset it would go back to like before. The deflate button would pop out farther, and be easier to push. Same thing with me as this did not work and I liked to wreck my hands trying to reset it squeezing the end of the valve block. I just gave up with that as it still works and just squeezed the deflate button harder. I had other problems with my pump. You might want to try contacting your AMS rep and talk with them about it. At least get it on file that you are having trouble with it. They have other fixes that are not in the DVD.

Re: Deflate button covered or not popping back up
Liven2the max, I don't worry about what I call the small stuff. I agree that deflating can be confusing. Early on my deflate button had a mind of its own. I don't care, as long as it works I'm happy. In the 6 months it has behaved several different ways. I do not always feel the pop. But I do always feel the subtle vibration of the saline moving through it. Sometimes the pop is very distinct. Other times I honestly don't feel the pop. But the vibration is always there. Sometimes its a very strong vibration, sometimes its gentle. Honestly, sometimes I distinctly find & push the button. Sometimes I just slide my finger over it, especially after sex. I'm just not in the mood to press it then.
My point is, my experience is that the pump works good everytime. I do feel a pop at the first pump everytime.
Its my feeling that you're still breaking your pump in. It takes some time for you & it to get real acquainted. Btw, I think that the first pump during inflation makes the button stick up a little higher. That might explain why its harder to find if your checking when your deflated.
Keep at it. You'll find that the button is your best little buddy.

My pump was acting strangely until I got into a 104 degree hot tub and cycled. Seems like something seated in that hot water and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I used to be able to pump 50-60 times and never get the bulb to rock hard, but after the hot tub I can’t pump the bulb past 18-20 and the cylinders are just as hard.

I never got as high as your count. But I did get into the high 20's. Following my drs pumping suggestion lowered that a lot. It just moves more fluid with less effort. But lately, I seem to reach max pumps even at a lower number. I suspect that as the implant material softens that less saline goes back to the reservoir. So I need to move less into the implant. I made a post earlier today about feeling like my flacid is getting in the way more often.
I'm a firm believer that the AMS implants behave a little different than the Titans do. Btw, I do not squeeze my implant to deflate. The CX still can get dog ears & I don't like them.

I can't make my CX get a dog ear if I tried. Even completely squeezed out of all fluid there's no dog ear. No point at a fold, no protrusion, nothing uncomfortable whatsoever. I don't squeeze it out completely though, so it's never an issue.

Good to hear that you don't get them. I wouldn't wish them on anyone.
Early on, maybe within the first month. I felt a small bb sized lump on my left. I rubbed it trying to figure out what it was. Hurt like the proverbial mofo. I mentioned to my drs nurse nurse that I thought I had found a dog ear. She replied entirely possible.
Just last night I moved my flacid & felt one jump up on my right side. No pain was involved.
I can deal with it but it sure would be nice if as my implant ages if they went away.
Looking at your signature line. We have the same implant but I don't have any RTE's. My surgery date looks like you're about 3 months ahead of me.
Wish you well.
