Active Duty - Malleable (Tectra) way to go?

I'm Active right now and plan on staying in a few years. The only thing I could manage to get in my location was a malleable. I talked to a urologist they referred me to, scheduled the surgery, and was a week out before finding this forum. After countless hours of reading and exploring here I decided not to go that route.

I tried to get referrals elsewhere but that was a pain and was claimed the referral I got was the only one they would let perform the surgery.

I then found Dr. Clavell and had a consultation with him 2 days prior to my surgery for the malleable. I ended up cancelling the appointment for surgery the next day and the following day scheduled with Dr. Clavell for the inflatable.

I did have to pay out of pocket some for the procedure but it was well worth it. The wife and I are extremely happy with it and it's been amazing.

Thanks for the share, can I asked why you choose the 3 piece inflatable instead of the malleable?
I have already done the consultation with Dr.Hakky and he want me to come down later this month to do some prior tests before the scheduled malleable surgery.

Can you ask Dr Hakky about the erosion problem in Malleable and what is the life of Malleable implant? Specially tactra?

Because
1. The IPP is easier to conceal. The malleable stays hard and at length. sure you can bend it down but no thanks.
2. My penis was stretched and I was told that's exactly what it would look like with a malleable. No girth.
3. My personal opinion is it wouldn't feel as natural. Even though I have the IPP it is as close to natural or closer due to being able to induce an erection in the moment then to be able to just bend my penis in position. Also it feels amazing when the Wife reaches over and begins to pump it up whenever she wants it.
4. We're both very pleased with Length and Girth and being able to gain some of what has been lost over the years.

He stated that erosion is only an issue if you are oversized and the surgery was performed by an inexperienced doctor. So given his reputation I feel very confident going with him.
However
After my initial consultation with Dr.Hakky, he informed me that he does NOT recommend the TACTRA. He said since the release he hasn't put that in anyone due to the spring back after you bend it (No matter how hard he bent it down, it bounces back to basically straight he did this while holding the RIGICON as well which RIGICON held its bent shape, the tactra didn't). Because of this demonstration, no patient has followed through with the TACTRA with Dr. Hakky. He stated that we should be going with the RIGICON, which he said would be the best option for my size and girth.

So far this has been my biggest worry (I'm sure it is for all men going through this in size and girth). However, Dr. Hakky laughed when I asked him if he just yanked on the penis flaccid to size for the malleable. He said no that is what low-frequency doctors do just to give the patient a result that allows for the function of intercourse but discards the sizing etc. He told me that he would inflate me to the max during the operation and then size to measurement.
I say this so that others can ask that same question during the initial screening of a doctor ensure to ask "How will I be sized and how much will I lose" If he says he's gonna yank your member and you'll be gtg, run.

He guaranteed that I would lose a quarter of an inch in length and girth, however, while engorged it should come back.
For my situation, this should be fine, as when I told my wife she stated that she would prefer if I lost some due to the pain she has when I ramp up during our sessions

I am going to take his advice and go with the RIGICON.
Dr. Hakky wanted to know my lifestyle and suggested what was best suited, coming from my military service my shins and feet are pretty damaged so intense running or sports is unfortunately out for me. He didn't try to convince me to go towards the inflatable.

He has been doing these surgeries for over 20 years and is highly rated as one of the top surgeons in the States.
The negatives he told me were: concealability and the loss of a quarter of an inch for length and girth - That was it.
He said for age that many young people only choose the inflatable due to the ease of concealment but he said that the tech for the inflatable is just not there yet in his opinion as you will have 4-5 revisions in the next 10 years versus maybe 1 in 10 year span. But if you don't care about concealment too much and don't plan to do heavy sports etc then the malleable is a fine option he said.

He said it was due just to the tech behind the devices, said that for their function they are cheaply made and some of the tubing comes loose or the fluid will eventually leak out.
I just don't want to deal with the multiple revisions just for ease of concealment, if I can get my size and girth even if I lose a quarter inch i think ill be happy.

Are Lifespan of mallabale only 10years? I thought it last much longer... Do you asked him about lifespan of mallabale?
