Thanks for the posts and suggestions guys. I had a Doppler Ultrasound test done the other day. The ultrasound technician thought it looked as if there was some leakage. If that's the case, he mentioned a surgery like the one venousleak1990born had, that supposedly helps with this. If there is a venous leak and that's irreversible, my glans probably won't fill up, if and when I get the implant. I'm going there for a re-evalution soon, where they will also know, how we should proceed.
In my country we have healthcare as part of our tax-system. So I could get the implant for "free" here, but I regardless prefer to go to the US anyway, as that's what I feel most safe with. If I go to United States and have the implant done over there, don't you think it would be wise to remain in the country during the (is it 8?) weeks of healing, if any complications should appear?

My surgeon, did a follow-up appointment at one week and three weeks after surgery. He had me come back at three months but that visit was almost a formality as everything was functioning perfectly. I think he would be alright with you staying nearby for just a month. Bear in mind that his technique is less invasive than many surgeons' and he usually allows his patients to have sexual intercourse after the three week appointment. He expects rapid recovery. His name is Edward Karpman and he has videos of the surgery, which usually takes less than half an hour, on YouTube.
I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.

First just to say hello to all of you guys here . I am 35 years old, coming from Serbia and have the same problems like most of you guys here. So suffering from ED, but not completely. I can have nice erection, but have huge problems to have it for longer time... often it stands for maybe couple of minutes, maybe 20 minutes sometimes and then I mostly lose it. Pills can help, but not always. I have plans for surgery in my mind and hope that this is going to restore my sex life completely.
Hi venousleak, can you please tell me on PM or here whatever, how much surgery cost in Turkey... Is this price something like over 9000 USD? I have found something on placidway.com website, also surgery in Turkey and it says 4000 USD for surgery and from 500 to 1500 USD for implant fee. So need to check this as well. Its in Hizmet Memorial Hospital in Istanbul. Not sure are they install AMS 700 LGX or some other implants.

Zdravo, Merhaba, Hi
I ain't got PM . Dunno why, but my inbox is empty...
Anyway, I saw that everybody talk about hospitals in public so I think we can do that as well . I contacted one Hospital in Turkey, Florence Nightingale, and price is $14000. It's a bit expensive for me.
Here is my e-mail so if you want you can send me information on mail, harisz78@yahoo.com
Thanks in advance

Re: Implant considerations and concerns at 22
The doctor I visited, thought that I had a minor venous leakage. But he didn't have any solution for this. The only thing, that could supposedly be done for this, was the implant. He suggested me to get an MR, but didn't think it would show much.
My head keeps exploding. I read a thread at this forum regarding jelqing injuries (like the one I inflicted). Someone said, that there was nothing, that could ever be done, if you got these kinds of injuries. I know it is difficult to generalize, as all injuries are different.
I'm just scared to death, that my injuries are too big to even getting an implant - I have been told, that I was a good candidate for the implant from the urologists I visited. But what if the reality is, that I can't even benefit from one?
Have you heard of cases, where it would be impossible to insert an implant or where the implant didn't function apart from the usual risk of infection etc.?
I'm going to talk to Dr. Eid soon to get his opinions. Until then, I will be a wandering body. This depresses me in way, that I wouldn't think possible just three years ago.
I wonder if this empty feeling and carelessnes is ever going to vanish.

Dr Eid is a great surgeon, and at least in my case, was very willing to take time to answer all my questions. He is also more thorough that most docs during presurgery exams and tests. He is far better qualified, especially after he has examined you, to answer your questions for your specific case. I say don't fret yourself with your questions. Just make a list and go ask him.

I read your story. You've had a tough break, kid.
You can have it done for free in your country but you elect to pay $18,000 to $30,000 here in the U.S.? Whoa, somebody's got money.
Unless you or your family are rich, I recommend doing some serious research to see if there's a specialist in your country who can do the surgery; not some schlupp who does one a month, but a real pro. If you do decide to come here to the states there are indeed several pretty good doctors who can do the surgery quite well. You've got your whole life ahead of you. Go ahead and take care of this so you can enjoy decades of healthy lovemaking, hopefully, eventually with someone who will love you no matter what.

Thanks for the support mate.
I'm not rich, but I don't want to compromise in this situation. I want the best quality treatment with the lowest risk of implications. The no-touch technique that Dr. Eid uses, is quite appealing to me. I don't really have any clue, what the price range is going to be the neither for surgery nor possible re-surgeries. This is one of the questions I have for Dr. Eid.
Unfurtunately there is no one in my country, who does these surgeries very often. As I understood the most active surgeons in this field here, are the urologists at a hospital I consulted a while ago. They do like 30 surgeries a year in total.
I'm looking forward to hearing Eids opinion. I am going to talk to him soon.
